"Does it have to be done in "one shot"? Have a look at www.panoguide.com/forums/qna/7377/
May be cheaper than 3 FF cameras and a agnos rig. Gus"
i have contacted these guys 2 times in the past year to get one of those and they do not sell them anymore and would not make another one. too bad as it is a one of a kind product.

yes you get an unlimited krpano license with auto pano pro. there is no way to test autopano/krpano online.
krpano has trial downloads to play with also but only offline.

panotour pro uses krpano. krpano will not work online without a license file you can only test it locally.

we have approached a local hotel with an idea to leave QR codes on a piece of paper in the welcome packet in each room and possibly on the wall near the balcony with a view. That QR code labelled "Share with your friends and family where you are! is designed to post a link to thier facebook page automatically all they have to do is sign in.
Then people with PC's and Andriods/iPhones with the facebook app can tap a link from thier wall and take the tour of the hotel
you cant do that without html5 versions of the tour. at least not for the iPhone users.

with krpanos looping actions you can use 3-4 small icons and create the animated gif effect using xml. it would then be usable on both flash and html5.

i have an exterior shot of a house i did as a test here. files are around 10 mb so it might take a little while on slow connections. took 1 large step same distance from house total around 45 shots.
using krpano you can take all the shots you would use for the object drop them onto 1 tool and it will export you a working object 360. this was completed in literally 10 minutes.
www.virtualnorthland.com/panos/timbertrails/legac...
the .mov wont open for me all i get are a bunch of random charactures so i cant see dennis' example

the retail on the girocam is $1999.99
I would even concider it with such a huge nadir. 4 cam would be better i agree. with the current layout i would feel obligated to take 2 shots anyways 60 degrees apart then the nadir would be a hexagon instead of a huge triangle.

i used a panosarus for 2 years, it gets the job done. but you can never use stitching templates as it has no click stops of any kind.
i have upgraded to a nodal ninja 5 and have not looked back once. but the panosaurs does work if you are on a budget.

Thank you guys that is what I thought. When I hosted the files he did not have anything, when it got to the point where I had to provide him with files for him to host on his own I used Krpano's Protect tool. Which embeds my license file and the xmls into a single encrypted swf. I also encrypted all the icons and jpegs so if they try to open them outside of the tour they do not open. He wants to be able to edit the text and replace jpegs if he remodels his vacation homes i think, cutting me out of the loop.
I had a good feeling his requests were incorrect I just wanted to make sure.
I found alot of good info from this website. www.photolaw.net/faq.html

i have never once implied or given written release of my copyrights. i told him he could use some of the images in other brochures that is all.
he is assuming that since i did not explicitly tell him "you cannot edit the tours" he has the right to do what ever he wants with them. does my holding the copyright and him having a lisense to USE the product give him the right to modify the tours?

someoen please let me know if i am right. i sold some tours to a vacation home owner over 2 years ago. he now insists that I provide him all the source images used to create the tours and the source files that actually make up the tour itself. I am understanding that I own the copyrights to MY tours. The cleint has lifetime access the tours i created. His initial hosting agreement is over which is why this is happening. They now have to host the tours themselves. They are insisting on editable versions so they can change photos or text to suit his needs. They are not allowed to do that correct? Here is a snipet from the last email I received from one of his assistants.
"Copyright means you have the right to make copies and sell your works. However, when you sell a license to someone, they own that license to use the copy you sold to them. You don't get to tell them they cannot alter it over a year later. That would have needed to be explicitly stipulated in the license before the license was transferred, which it was not. And you cannot use the word "images" to mean "tours." They are not interchangeable.
Just because you have copyright, that does not mean you own the license you sold. They are separate things. When Bill paid you, he received a license to use his tours. There was no explicit prohibition from editing the tours at the time he received the license. Therefore, Bill has the right to use and edit his licensed copy of the tours. Just because you were hosting them, it doesn't mean you get to alter them before you give him his files.
If this doesn't make sense to you, I would suggest you consult an attorney, which I am not. The link you sent reflects what I am explaining."
At one point I told him he could use my still images in other forms of media at no charge. somehow they seemed to have thought that still images means virtual tours. am i correct in insisting that they do not own the tours and have no right to modify them without my consent?

in regurads to the people that might be in the restaraunt during the photography. last month my wife and i travelled and entered a restarant shooting a real video commercial. they had a sign posted on the front door and the host, before seating, us also let us know that they were shooting a real comemrcial. if we choose to enter the restarant at that time we were acknowleging we knew about it and if we happened to end up in the comemrcial that was an assumed risk eating there at that time.
seemed like a good way to handle it. the place was full and noone seemed to care as they were all informed of the events prior to being seated.
i have a shoot this wednesday at an indoor theme park and we are going to try the same thing.
