Klaus
I have been using my 10-17 for 2 years doing panos. First with a NN3 and now a NN5. I'm really happy with it. There is a thread posted earlier about the quality of the image and the agreement was the image sharpness is equal to or better then the Nikon fisheye. I do find the CA or purple fringing sometimes troublesome, but fixable in Photoshop ACR.
I also use the Pentax 12-24 for higher res panos.

Mark I had the very same thing happen to me during a local street festival. The local help hounded me as I took pictures. I went to the local police department and they informed me that I was in my right to take pictures. Later that evening the event organizer found me a apologize to me for the actions of his volunteers.

It has been that way in New York city sence 911. If you show up with a tripod in Grand Central Station you will be asked to leave and then questioned. On the city streets if you are with three or more individuals you need a permit to shoot video or stills. It is interesting world we live in and not going to get better.
I have been harassed at a local carnival for picture taken and this was on public property

Did you check the "Camera Settings" area at Nodal Ninja?
nodalninja.com/nodal_ninja_3_camera_settings.html
maybe here:
www.panotools.info/mediawiki/index.php?title=Entr...
One thing to remember your settings will differ from someone else with the same equipment. You will have to spend 1 or two hours fine tuning. Once you have centered the lens then just make a series of shot at 2mm spacing. You only need to take a left and right shot and then compare the paralax. My lens for my equipment (Pentax) needed to be at 90mm I start at 84mm and made my series every 2mm till I reached 96mm downloaded my files. When I found where I needed to be. Then I did a closer spacing to tweak it into the sweet spot.

NN3 is light, by how much I don't know. The Panosaurus looks big and bulky. Too many sharp edges for my camera bag.
Once the camera is mounted to the big plate. Can it be leveled and retighten without disassembling the whole rig?

Needs help in creating the nadir patch. Stitching errors in the zenth. I just pick two out of the "Art" section. Would call them nice, but not excellent.

Not CA, Purple fringing. I removed CA with ACR.

It was a PTGui output to Photoshop PSD file. So I'll try that tonight. Thanks Hans

The image from PTGui does not have layers, so I don't know why I'm getting the line.
Yes I agree on the contrast issue. I have not done and post processing yet.

This was completed with the help of enfuse. I had taken 3 exposures for each position -2, 0, +2. I used enfuse to combine these images. Then PTGui to stitch the images.
Problems: vertical line, Nadir, purple fringing.
I have not done a post processing to this image, such as sharping.
Feedback please

I have only played with for a shot time. Will blend to jpg or tiff. Adds Alpha channel. Will batch process.
Cools part I like is the batch processing. I had 22 different final images to process, three exposures each. I just drag the old tiff's to enfuseGUI and press the enfuse button. Very good tool, I'm impressed.
