Thanks Danilo and Photo41.
You are correct Dorin there are some blending issues. Given that I process and stitched and uploaded these pans in a little over 2 hours and I wanted to keep the panoramas timely with the event, I don't think they came out to bad.

Personally (and IMHO) I have tested & beta'ed many of the high cost pano softwares on the market, at the end of of the day I always end back at PTGui. PTGui has never failed to stitch the a panorama (no matter how much I screwed up the pan). True that PTGui has a bit of a learning curve, and it might take some time to learn the in and out of the program. But once you learned the to use PTGui you will not be disappointed in the final output. Did I mention it is by far the least expensive full featured stitching software on the market.
In the interest of full disclosure, I receive no monetary support for my endorsements of PTGui or any other software package ( although it is always welcome.... )

PTGui for the stitching and pano2Vr to create the interactive panorama. Pano2Vr can output the panorama in several different formats, including QTVR and Flash.
Hope this helps Mark Houston www.360michigan.net

Yes Syn, All the crowd shots were done with the 10.5 lens on a D200. The best advice I can give you is practice, practice practice. I regularly shot multiple shots of the same view and pick the best image that will allow for a good overlap in the stitching process. Send me a e-mail and I'll run you though my work flow.

I'd go for the Nikon 10.5. I think it is a outstanding lens. I use it all the time for my panos.

Hello Pete The best tip I can give you is practice, practice, practice. Pick one lens to work with and really get to know it. Don't rush yourself when making the images. Sometimes you might have take multiple images of the same view and pick the best ones to use in the stitch (better to take to many images then not enough) Take a look at the pans on this page. www.360michigan.net/2007dreamcruise.html The first panorama I shot a total of 47 images and pick the best 12 to use in the stitch.
Hope this Helps

snookphotograph I don't know if you are on a Mac or a PC. If you are on a PC open your task manager and close all the Quicktime programs that may be running in the background. Then run project. I had a similar problem on a early version of the Realviz.
