I also must admit that your skins really are great!
I personally don´t take that amount of energy to create a skin - I´m a little more technical bound though.
For the internet speed: we do have areas in Germany where Internet is not that fast ! Some regions don´t even have DSL- still ISDN (64 KB !!!) paid by minutes. Also DSL is not that fast- my area just has 1 MBit- even you pay for 4 MBit, it´s not supplied. So I see some panos with 3 and more MB, they really take a while to show up.
Personally I try to keep them between 1.4 to 2.5 MB, which then is a tribute to resolution of course.
Loading indicators are a nice help to inform the user that there is still something alive. Also can he decide to interrupt, if the download is to slow.

Sorry if I did not respond immediateyl to any mails. Plese: put SIGMA into the subject. The anit-spam keeps everything unauthorized away from our network. I have to find the appropriated sender so I can authorize the abdress.
Sorry for any unconvenience. So plesae: send your mail again with the subject set o "SIGMA".

Hi, I am selling my Sigma 8mm lens for Canon mounts. Including a TRing NPA (Tobias production) that has a plastic inlay for lens-protection. Also included is a 5° Up-Adaptor that puts the camera 5° up. So you can use the system levelled or 5° up- just as you desire.
Images can be seen: tinyurl.com/33yona8
Lens is in mint condition, no scratches or bends etc. Also the TRing is without any defects. So the package contains:
- the Sigma 8mm lens - front-cap - back- cap - TRing levelled - 5°- Up Adaptor
(As seen on image 1)
Price: 750 € If interested just send me a mail virtugraf (at) gmx (dot) de

The combo Canon 7D with the Tokina ATX 107 give you a very wide field of panorama variety - shhoting speaking and resolution.
As already mentioned befor: the Tokina ATX 107 is a fisheye- it will take much only 6+1 shots for a full sphere at 10mm (6 + 2 is adviced but with alogo 6+1 will do)
I use the ATX 107 shaved on a FF (old 5D though) but the combo ist really brilliant.
Of course could get an ATX 107 for a Nikon too ! The 1.6 Crop of the Canon is a slight disadvantage, Nikons 1.5 CROP gives you some 6° more in the Zenith, but there are plenty of workarounds for the Canon. Also do I doubt that this would effect the 10mm as much as the 8mm (8mm F3.5 Sigma speaking).

Thanks Vilmer
I tried your suggestion in the index.html but it did not work. I guess it has to be a change within the php-scripts somewhere, the programmer ist already informed so I just wait and see. The scripts a many !! and they are not easy to read- not to say how to change. There is no entry within the "showpano" script where I could find a place to insert your code though.

Thanks Smooth for looking,
might this be an issue of Quicktime ???
Are FLASH & JAVA viewers also faulty ?
At the moment Quicktime is set as the DEFAULT viewer in the script. This might be the reason.
No: I just checked it myself. All viewers do not display correctly.
I have to contact the programmer of the gallery.
Thanks again for mentioning it. Ciao Mike www.360de.de
edit: I tried again with all viewers: Opera does not display the panos. IE, Firefox, Safari are OK with all viewers.

I went out wandering on the North-Sea tidal mud. It was frozen, as expected. Walking on a tidal-creek can be highly dangerous: they are about 2-3m in depth and have an very strong current. You can´t see how much space is between the ice and the water. So I went some 20m and better returned for safety reasons.
tinyurl.com/yhzyj54
Also found in the ice: a forgotten sailboat. Maybe they just forgot it ?- or something happened to the owner. Found in the harbour of Neufeld among the ice. Done in "Cliffhanger"- technik to make a little more interesting. tinyurl.com/ykcm68s
"Karte zeigen" means "Show Map". So if you click on "Karte zeigen" Google Maps will pop up with the location of the shot.
Hope you enjoy it

Shooting with a monopod

I did the shooting like John adviced a post before. But you have to consider that the monopod is not as stable set on a disc ! I used a CD with 6 marks - worked very well. Then, with a 6m pole and a little wind, the base slipped and I hardly could hold the pole with the weight on top. The whole gear nerly crashed into the North-Sea. The pole had a spike that poke through the middle of the CD, but the base was very instable. Now I just take 8 shots - this I can count and turn without any help. The result with the disc: tinyurl.com/yees6nq
I kept the shadow unretouched- so you can see my movements.
