Best Stitching Software

I'd recommend Panotools with a GUI, either PTGUI or PTAssembler. Add the free AutoPano and Enblend plugins and you've got powerful/fast/accurate pano software that costs very little. Great to have Panotools installed anyway, to make use of some handy free Photoshop filters, like PTLens.

I don't think there is a 'money no object/just best' answer - just depends on what you want to produce and what type of software you enjoy using e.g. personally I think products like RealViz are a complete and unnecessary rip-off smile

just as a follow-up - I have since heard from Kaidan...

As it turns out my spherical bracket is no longer supported, so upgrading the rotator base means upgrading the the spherical bracket also, that'd be $500+ US to Kaidan if I wished to stay with their products - I don't, they've lost my confidence sad

While I investigate other options I've taken my rotator based down to a local engineering shop to make some modifications to it to get me by, as well as quote on making a custom base.

Thanks Smooth. I'm ok with cutting Kaidan some slack if that is the case.

As you say though, business is business - it only takes a minute or two to set up an auto responder to reply to emails letting people know there could be a delay in email. Most people are ok with delays if they know something is up.

I'm checking out the agnos site atm, nice looking stuff. I'd rather just update the rotator arm with Kaidan though, would've bought from the guy in oz if he still distributed their stuff.

So I guess I'll just get out the thermos and sandwiches on this one and wait for Kaidan.

Smooth do you mean ill health seriously or tongue in cheek?

Maybe Jim will notice my post here and get someone to reply to my email from Feb 19. I want to spend more money with Kaidan, if someone there can take a minute or less to answer a couple of questions.

I guess I could always ring them from Australia eek!

Does anyone know if Kaidan are still in business?

I emailed them on Feb 19 with a few questions prior to upgrading my rotator base, no reply. Emailed them again in the last few days, no reply.
