Hey Guys and Gals -

I noticed there were a few people here who were interested in Smooth's 0-360 Lens. I thought i would put it up here before ebay and give real people a chance to buy it first.

What: 0-360 Lens (www.0-360.com for more info)

Where: Located in Canberra, Australia

Why: Used to be a full time photographer for a realestate agency, i thought they would take VT's on board, i was wrong!!! Hence it was only ever used maybe 10-15 times for demos to the managers, so its in perfect condition. I now have a VR bracket, so lens is not needed.

How much: well to be honest, im not sure - whatever your best offer is (within reason). Otherwise, if you have any Nikon/Pano gear i might trade, i will consider.

Other: I have an adapter ring for a Nikon Coolpix 8800 which i am happy to give with lens if wanted.

Any questions or if you want photos or anything my email is lachlan.johnstone@open2view.com.au or mobile on 0403 525 790.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work out there!

Cheers

The DRI Plugin is pretty good value, I purchased this as a solution for my 0-360 lens. I can provide examples of mine, however the www.fredmiranda.com/shopping/DRI says it all

But the above from others is simple and effective advice.

Hope it helps

Object Photo Software ?
Re: Object Photo Software ?

I used a combination of Photoshop and Anything 3D to remove the background. I simply made a photoshop action to crop and select colour ranges and make it all white.

I recommend for the most effecient and effective way of creating Object movies is in the lighting and set-up, i had te benefit of prefect day outside, and used the hot-shoed flash to remove excess shadows.

The sunglasses were created with the most poor of quality control, if you look carefully one of the arms starts to fold in. I just wanted to quickly take some pics to test out this software. This one was created using a cd spindal in which i sat a flat surface to hold the sunglasses. Then rotated and photographer, rotated and so on.

If you look on ebay, you can find light cubes which are great for photography and aids in eliminating shadows and inconsistent lighting however i am sure you can modify one to suit a turntable or something. (cgi.ebay.com.au/48-Photo-Light-Soft-Cube-Box-Phot...)
This is an example, it is a little $$$ but you get the idea

Hey Guys,

I awhile ago i looked into this, i likes the VR WORX, however i recently had another quick look into it.

I found anything3d.com to be a really simple and very effective, and lets face it, the price is pretty good too.

Here is an example of one that i did, its been compressed down to make it and easy size.

This looks great. I was getting frustrated as i wanted to try extension cords and slave units, however I had to order everything in and i couldnt do so just to test it out.

I will have to look into this, Have you got any examples that you can show??

After doing some deeper research on the eyesee360 forum, I read about the DRI Plugin, I have recently purchased The DRI plugin from fredmiranda.com. and have found it to be a very effecient way of processing the photos.

Thanks for the heads up on that i will be looking into it deeply, love to see your examples.

Hey Guys, i have done a search and havent found a viable solution just yet, any ideas will be appreciated.

I have put an example of what i am trying to acheive, at www.inceptionwebcreations.com.au/flashsamples/

I really want to find a way to balance light inside with the light outside, as a photographer with a real estate agent, its easy to take crisp photos with the flash to balance light - but i want to apply this to my 0-360 photography.

SETUP
- Nikon 8800 with 0-360 optic, SB-600 Speedlight (flash)

WITHOUT FLASH - Obviously with this example i havent quite balanced the exposure, however there is a fair bit of blow-out with the light through the windows.

WITH FLASH - I pointed the flash DOWN, because it sticks out too far, when its UP the light gets caught in the mirror.I havent used a proper reflector board, simply a white piece of paper that i made into a cone, i found that when it was a cone it reflected the light alot broader than a board straight back up.

IDEAS - An idea i had was to get an extension cord and mount the flash out of vision to the mirror. Or a similar idea was to get a remote unit and put the flash on-top of the 0-360 and fire up to the roof and light the room that way.

examples again at www.inceptionwebcreations.com.au/flashsamples/

Cheers - keep up the good work everyone

Hey there Seba -

Those objects look great, i am impressed, did you create the one with the vehicle?? I know that you can get turntables for vehicle and stuff, but i was wondering how well you could do it otherwise??

I would love to get hold of the source code and give some of it a go - i might have a new product to test it on. A potential customer design craft type tins, and i am wanting to be able to rotate them.

Cracker work ppl - keep up the good effort!!!

This is the problem, by the time i pay customs and everything, its getting quite pricey.

There was one on ebay that was a Kaidan 360 One M2, which went for roughly $500AU which is still alot cheaper than buying new!!!

I understand the concept, but to play only certain segments of a movie, wouldnt i have to reload a page, and start next short movie.

hmmm - i shall look into it tho, might even have to hire a harry potter dvd and check that out.
