I have the "EGG360" and want to pull into Photoshop to unwrap and tweak. I read somewhere to use the Polar Cordinates filter. This unwraps but not all the way. Is there a way to tweak this or should I look somewhere else in Photoshop?
On a related note I wouldn't mind using another product alltogether that would allow me to unwrap the oneshot and tweak it. If possible a program that would allow me to add hotspots and be "branded free". The software that ships with the EGG is a little limited.

I saw that site when browsing around at 1 shot solutions. Personally I didn't think the images looked that good. If you read the print it states that it is "for educational use".
I did take another posters sugestion and ordered the "Egg 360" from e-bay, brand new w/shipping was only $270.00. Should show up Monday, I will post back here with a sample when I get a chance to play with it for a few days. Anyone else used this and can offer any pointers?

anyone used the "egg 360". I like the e-bay price but how does it compare. Also anyone know if the "egg" branding can be removed/replaced?

Anyone had any luck building there own one shot system. I'm having trouble finding a small enough mirror. I saw the one post using a christmas tree ball under the tips fourm so that may be the route I need to go. I found this on a large scale www.designwizardry.com/oneshotvr/

so a wide angel lens turned up side ways would give me "top" and "bottom" view of a a wall but I still have to take multiple pictures. I guess what confuses me is the pictures VR that allow you to see the sky and the ground and the picture(s) looks great.

If I use single photos stiched together then I would need to take 2 pictures to get the top and bottom of a wall right?

My goal is to produce VR tours for realestate companies and FSBO. I assume that web will be 98% of where the pics will land.
I'm new to panoramic and VR stuff, so bear with me....from what I read the following apear to be true (for the most part).
stiched photos = number of pics depends on room, best quality, slowest time to put together
one shot solutions = 1 picture, lower quality than stiched but MUCH faster, have aditional hardware to lug around, expensive (unless you build your own)
fisheye = 2 pictures, qualtiy and speed to put project togeter fall between stiched and 1 shot, Only extra item you need is the lens, only certain pano software will "read" fisheye pics
If the above is true then fish-eye is the solution that intrest me.
Anyone know if I can get a fisheye lens for a Canon A70 (I find mixed answers elsewhere on the web). If so is it 180 degrees.

I'm looking for anyone that has instructions for a one shot solution or a cheaper solution thatn the Kaidan 360.
I did find this www.hawaiizone.com/quick360/ but the pics they have posted on the site did't look that good to me. Has anyone used this.

So If I understand correct, from top to bottom the materials would be: 1 Silver Christmas ball 2 Nut 3 Bolt 4 Nut 5 washer 6 Top of CD cd cover spindle (this is glued to #8) 7 Nut 8 some type of item to get the proper distance (in your case a mail holder) 9 cardboard (this is glued to #8) 10 filter ring inserted in the cardboard
Q1 How did you determine the distance need for the bolt and the "mail holder"
Q2 What type of filter ring did you use?

thanks for the larger pic, that does help some. I can see the nuts and bolts better. What is the cage looking device and the round item on the very bottom. Do you have a picture with you camera mounted to the device?
I also tried to click on the link you supplied but it was dead.
thanks again

My goal is to do virtul tours for real estate companies and owners of Condo's. I currently own a Cannon A70. I have some thoughts on what I want/need.
1) I don't want any type of "branding" on the pics. I don't the real estate company to know what I'm using only to have them turn around and purchase themselves. I have seen this with some of the other software on the market. 2) I'd like to be able to add sound as the picture is "playing" with the ability for the person viewing to turn on/off. 3) would like to be able to add hotspots for sound, URL, another picture. 4) Easy of being able to pubish to a website. 5)If a "viewer" is needed for the person viewing I'd prefer that the download/plugin be very small.
From what I read I need to focus on "virtual tour" software instead of something that just does panoramics. One of the things I hope to sell this on is fast turn around time so would one of the hardware "one shot" devices be what I need to look at?
If you got this far thanks for reading my long post
