Why did you narrow the view to less than 360x180º?

I feel that I don't enjoy the full circle and makes me feel uncomfortable.

If there is nothing interesting to see in the area where you don't show, then find a spot that has something to pleasure the eye in full 360º.

I would also use LDR/HDR in some panoramas.

Mark my site uses an old version of fiero's detectVR script (www.devalvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=276) in order to show the panorama with among the 3 VR types available - deval - flash - quicktime

Maybe there is something in this script that AVG triggers a false alarm.

I'm also posting the equipment I used for the specific .mov panoramas as I had a question for that: 6 shots with Canon 350D, Sigma 8mm, Agnos Mrotator TCPshort, PTGui Pro, Photoshop, Pano2QTVR

Thank you for your comments. I've just uploaded the 4 mov files with 90% more smart sharpen, adding about 500kb to each panorama.

You were right about sharpen.

You are right, thanks for mentioning it. The xml had a typo for flash version. Now it's ok. Clear your cache and you should see it.

Here are some 360 from the courtyard of the New Acropolis Museum, along with the Jennifer Athena Galatis` soundtrack that was composed for the museum.

Hans, you mean FPP will ignore the openning view set in the .mov by pano2qtvr or set by DevalVr?

If so, that should be fixed in the future releases of FPP.

Thanks for pointing that out.

cheers,
Dorin

Yes, this is an old known FPP bug... if PanHome is not set, then it doesn't open at the viewing parameters set by the mov file (as I remember when I've tested it a year ago)

Thanx for your fast reply Hans... I got it... there is also in Pano2QTVR (1.6.3) a Viewing Parameters area with a Spot in Quicktime button...

Wherever the viewing parameters are set, then this area starts to load first.

DorinDXN said:

With pano2qtvr at [Settings] tab you can set the opening view and the software will optimise the downloading order accordingly if Rearrange tiles is [x]

... and yes this option is also checked.

Thanx again

Hello everyone.

I've search a bit in this forum but couldn't find an answer to my following question.

How can we force which portion of the panorama will load first, when we decide that we want a specific view to show (panHome) while the loading process of the panorama occurs?

I'm using a equirectangular jpg image --> Pano2QTVR --> call .mov in FPP via xml.

If this is already answered, please point me the link.

Thanx in advance

mp3hotspot and gap issues at sound loops

Hello everyone,

I'm using Denis' mp3hotspot plugin

flashpanoramas.com/blog/2007/11/17/mp3-player-and...

and I'm having issues with looping sounds. I have a waterfall spot sound panning around the panorama and when it reaches the point to repeat itself, the plugin adds a gap, although when I play the mp3 through winamp there is no gap between loops.

The sound is always heard while panning the panorama as it has a large SoundRadius value.

Have you ever encountered the same issue? Is it something with the mp3 compression? (128kbit - 44100Hz)

Thank you very much Hans... it was indeed the version of movdecoder plugin! I didn't have updated this plugin along with FPP 2.2

Thanx for sharing Jook's panorama

Thanx for your time Hans.

After some time of experiment I still can't find out what the problem is.

The file name is set correct in the xml as it concerns the Caps, otherwise it would give a "movie/file not found".

The mov files are created in pano2QTVR using 3x3 and are played just fine when they are on their own xml/html files.

It seems to me that there must be a memory issue as my Firefox crashes if the hotspot loads a panorama larger than 1.6MB, else it freezes at "parsing".

Here are the uploaded files:

www.360visits.gr/_projects/treisLaloun/1.htm

www.360visits.gr/_projects/treisLaloun/2.htm

where in 1 there is a + sign to load the 2, and in 2 there is a + sign to load 1.
