Composition: Horizon on lower 1/3rd, hill + mountain top repetition, lake provides continuous link across the full center part of the image. Sky/ clouds integrate well between earth and sky. Center white snowy peaks lead the eye up into the clouds. Hints of blue sky brings the viewers eye back down into the mountain range. Earthy tone mountains provide repeating texture. Bottom earthy orange tree growth prevents the visitors eye from drifting off the image bottom.
Both left and right sloping ridge tops and the lake fartherest shore line cause the eye to drift to the center mountain peaks. Focus point seems to be the distant snowy vertical peak movement back up into the sky.
Great circular hard edge movement around inside the image.
Exposure: Fore and middle ground seem bit underexposed.. but that might have been done on purpose. No doubt in my mind that the main image point of interest are the center mountain visual up thrust.
Personal view? Looks cold ! Need to put a fire in the fireplace and cook some hot dogs and marsh mellows washed down with a very hot toddy !

Yes, that is what the histogram talking to you. Blinking area on the histogram means that area is over exposed and will include "over exposed" blown highlights.
Best way to deal with the blinking areas is to choose a smaller lens opening. Your aperature or lens is too large .. like f/4 when you should change it to a smaller opening like f/8 or f/10 to let less light in.
OR
Choose a faster shutter speed.. instead of 1/125th use 1/500 to let less light in.

We use a 16bit work flow from RAW to 16bit TIF Stitching to 16 bit tiff output to 16bit Pano2VR patch Nadir and finally output to Flash ver 10.
Smooth's answer is correct !
Yes it is important, yes you can see the difference between 8 and 16bit on the LCD 1920 x 1200px monitor. In a single word "Sharp" ! It is the difference between seeing Television's Standard broad cast signal... and high definition !

I disagree. There is a significant difference in image detail quality between 8bit and 16bit. Sort of like shooting .jpg and Raw. If you do not shoot raw you will not capture all image data your camera is capable of taking.
How you choose to post process degrade your final image work is up to you.

What camera are you using ? 1.6 is close to Canon. Nikon might be 1.5 crop factor.
Either lens Tokina Peleng or Nikon 10.5 fisheye will require 6 images on horizon and 2 Zenith and Nadir.
Rodrigo says the Peleng you can get away with 4 on the horizon but you will have a small hole in the top and bottom. He is using it with a Canon 350d and 40D. The Peleng comes with instructions written in Russian.

Yes, I saw that comparision chart few months ago. I also wonder if the Standard version will stitch Spherical images?
I am comparing CS4 with capabilities of PTgui and Pano2VR for creating fully functioning and useful final end products suitable for web pages.
With CS4 once you stitch your 4 image spherical including Zenith and Nadir is the image still 2:1 ratio ? Now can you output to a Flash 10 .swf file ? Do you have control over the output file size ? like 1.5mb
The flash 10 output files with out having CS4 Flash program. Flashpanorama and Pano2VR small programs can create Flash output .SWF . Why buy CS4 Flash?
Yes, I have already posted these questions in the Adobe Photoshop Forum list... but received little or no response probably due to those photoshop photographers probably do not create .swf or .mov panorama imaging.

Are we talking about CS4 Standard or CS4 Extended. Which version are you using? Or are the CS4 3D Panorama stitching features the same for both Standard or Extended?
