I am having alot of trouble figuring out how to use Pano2VR to make panoramas that look good in full screen. Would like to publish panoramas which look beautiful on my 30 inch cinema display but load quickly. I have uploaded large files to 360cities > JPG > 13676 px x 6838 px @ 300 dpi and the result is good lru.jp/lnvw In my workflow have been reducing the size of the panos to 6000 x 3000 px @ 72 dpi importing to Pano2VR, setting the the window size to 638 px x 390 px which look good but at full screen ( 30 inch ) the image loses a lot of quality. The file size is 2MB and the tile quality 90 on every besides 40 on the nadir / cube face size 1500 px. I have seen some fantastic work on this site that i would like to try and emulate www.vr-factory.com/index.html
Any suggestions that would be fantastic.
Thanks

Hi there,
Just posted this virtual tour on my blog and would appreciate any feedback. lru.jp/73sp Does anyone have any specific thoughts on the pros and cons of Flashificator vs other software such as Pano2VR. Pano2VR seem more versatile and has more functionality but.... generally happy with Flashificator.
Thanks Glen

Hi There,
Anyone have any tips for stitching featureless sky zenith shots. i.e : a pano shot on the top of a mountain peak on a cloudless blue sky day.
I am using a Nikon D700 16mm lens 360 absolute head and PTGui.
Cheers

Thank you so much !! I suspected as much and even remember reading that some where now that you mention it. Ok back to the drawing board - kind of. I have managed to salvage something from today's effort by using Enfuse Gui on bracketed exposures then rendering these files as TIFF's and re stitching in PT Gui with better results. Will re shoot the same interiors tomorrow with your advise in mind and get back to you.
Thanks again
Glen

Hi there,
I am using a 360 precision Absolute head and was wondering if anyone had some advise about the leveling system ? Is it better to use the in built leveling system to make sure the first shot is perfectly level or is it better to use a level mounted in the hot shoe ? I use a manfrotto leveling plate between the head and tripod and usually adjust this through out my 7 shots. Today i shot a few interior panos and used the hot shoe method and and ignored the in built level and the panos are looking pretty bad All sorts of alignment issues - i generally use the in built level for the first shot but for some reason did'nt today.Any advise greatly appreciated.

Hi Hans ,
Thanks again for you helpful advise - i haven't been adding my handheld nadir stop to my projects but will start looking into this - i have previously found that my hand held nadir shots have adversely effected the overall stitch.

What version are you using? If you are using the free version, it has the basic standard FPP settings. The full version has more "up to date" settings that give you a smoother experience. Also, if you are using a lensflare, it will become tacky... the lensflare concept in FPP has not been brought up to Flash 10 quality. These actually behave better in Flash 9.
Any FFC specific issue you may have, can always be brought to my attention, and I will of course do my best to have things resolved.
Edit: The link you provided earlier:
www.panoguide.com/r/?p=http%3A%2F%2Flru.jp%2Fue91
... is not using the Flash 10 version of FPP. Hi Trausti,
Thanks very much for you advise - didn't mean to blame all of my pano issues on flashificator. I have been using the full version and i am generally very happy with the player however the way the pano breaks up while i scroll quickly is a problem - i have noticed on you gallery that you do not have these issues occurring with your panos so i will try and figure this out - i have this problem happening with enfused and standard panos suibokuhirafu.com/panoramas / nisekopanoramas.com/hosted/shikaku-1/ One question i do have is what software do you recommend for adding floor plans for virtual tours. Need something that works with the "radar" function in relation to the floorpan / pano, i am a novice with flash.
Thanks a lot
Glen

Hi John,
No mate still doing assisted stitches. Working up to that - still refining my standard work flow. Thanks for your feed back and help throughout - AWESOME. Re my nadir patching yes i need to improve this but already shooting hand held nadir shots with the D700 has been easier. Do you know any free apps i can use to "de-fish" my nadir shots ?
Thanks again Glen

Hi Trausti,
Thanks for the feedback - have updated to Fash 10 but still have problems with the panorama breaking up and shimmering when scrolling - i find this pretty distracting and i am not happy with it. Have been using flashificator.com/ but thinking of trying a new player such as gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2vr.php Does anyone use Flashificator and been able to get it to work cleanly ? The problem may be at my end..... Thanks, Glen
