I think it looks great. The hill doesn't bother me. Thanks for shareing though. With all those shadows, the low sun, and moving people that was a fairly difficult setting for a pano. I really like it.

Hi Dylan, Congradulations on your business venture. I hope it works out I did somthing similar four years ago. The first eighteen months were rough, but now I'm glad I did it.
I don't hate your home page, but the rest of your site looks much better and much different. I agree with Smooth that your prices are to low, your work is better than your prices. My only other suggestion is to offer product VRs in Flash. Flash product VRs are easier to sell, because more people have it installed in their computer.
Anyway good luck. I look forward to seeing your completed site.

I really like the site design. It is easy to navigate, and it looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing the vrs you shoot with your new, more capable camera.

The walls appear to warp because Flash does not project panoramas as a cylinder or a cube. It can only move the panorama.

Here is a link to a VR Flash application we put togethor. This is our first attempt. Obviously, we have not been able to do anything about the warping, but we are working on it. Would like some feedback on the usability of the flash player.

Wow, You have been busy. I think my favorite is the "Cruise terminal of Seattle" I agree with Algenon that your panos could be helped by shooting in the manuel mode and possibly an equipment upgrade. I would recomend getting a camera that shoots RAW. This helps considerably when your exposures are a little off.

The Nikon 10.5 is definently the best lens of the three, especially for the D70. Nikon's Capture 4 software does a great job of defishing the images. It corrects the barrel distortion and crops the edges. The lens was designed specifically for the Nikon/Fuji sensors with a 1.5 crop, so it will not work with a full frame 35mm camera.
I shoot with Canon 10d and 20d and a Sigma 8mm, however I ordered the new Fuji S3 primarily because I was very impressed with some printed panoramas my friend shot with the Nikon 10.5 and a D70. I also want more dynamic range, and the S3 is supposed to have it. We'll see. Since Fuji has not shipped the S3 to the States yet, I don't have any examples to show you, but this is a subject I have researched considerably, and I really like the 10.5.
Here are two links (not mine) that may help. fromparis.com/html/technical.php www.mediapiculture.net/360days/index.php?id=34

Very nice, I think my favorite is Ospizio Bernina, canton grey federations, May. Great job containing the snow.
Urnersee, Isleten, August 2004 was a little underexposed, but that area would be easier to make a pano closer to noon, and with less cloud cover. However, we are not always given that option.
Overall, I really enjoyed them. I bookmarked you site, and I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks, Ben

I gave it a try with the most difficult set of pictures I have ever stitched. It is a bathroom interior. I was pleasently surprised at the results. I can't believe that software that is this automated can be as accurate as this one is. There were a few problem areas, but I had trouble with this picture set in Realviz Stitcher, and that software cost $600.00 I had error messeges on a few tries, and it split my pano up once. However I understand that this is a work in progress. You guys are on the right track, and once it's dialed in it is definently something that will sell.
Great Job Ben

You do not need both Realviz Stitcher and Panavue Image Assembler. Stitcher has more options but a greater learning curve and a higher price tag $600.00. Image Assembler is easier to use and it and it cost considerably less($64.00), however it has fewer features.
Here are my three favorite VR equipment set ups, begining with the least expensive. These are all custom. I have never bought a pre made VR package.
Package 1
Fuji S20 ($720.00) This is my favorite prosumer camera for VRs, because of it's great dynamic range. Raynox DCR-FE180 fisheye extension ($300.00) Manfrotto 303 Plus Geared Panoramic Head. ($370.00)
Package 2
Canon 20d ($1500.00)
Sigma 8mm aspherical fisheye ($800.00) Canon 14mm ($1700.00) Sigma 15 - 30mm Manfrotto 303 Plus Geared Panoramic Head. ($370.00)
Package 3
Canon 1ds* ($7,000.00) Sigma 8mm aspherical fisheye ($800.00) Canon 14mm ($1700.00) Sigma 15 - 30mm ($600.00) Manfrotto 303 Plus Geared Panoramic Head. ($370.00)
*The new Canon 1ds 2 will be out this month. It is 16 mp. The 1ds and 1ds MK2 are overkill for most VR applications, but I like to offer clients prints up to 10 ft long.
This equipment list is just a personal opinion. There are a lot of great VR photographers who have got amazing results with different and somtimes cheaper equipment, but this is the equipment that has given me the best results. I use a fisheye lens about 60% of the time, so I would definently recommend one. It is nice to have the option. I hope this helps

It all depends on how much money you want to spend. My two favorite VR software applications are Realviz Stitcher and PanaVue Image Assembler. I have tried around 12 Vr software applications, and these work the best for me. However, there is cheaper software out there that will get the job done. As far as camera equipment goes, I would need a ballpark figure on your budget to recommend a decent setup.

Great Job I have experimented with flash viewers, but I have not been able to deal with the cylyndrical warping on interiors. QT projects the panorama onto a cylinder or sphere, but flash can not do this. How did you get around this problem.
Thanks and congradulations.
