Jeffe, I use nikon d70s camera. What Nikon technology are you reffering to?
Do the SB-800 & SB-600 have built-in wireless triggers or do I need to get some external wireless shoe for the flash in order to make remote triggering work?
What sync speeds to you get with the remote flash units?

Any body uses remote wireless flash triggers for indoor photography. I would like to use a second flash in conjunction with the flash on the camera hot shoe to iluminate large spaces. Would like some solution that can respond to shutter speed of 1/350-500 sec sync time.
I would appreciate any product suggestion. Thanks

Yes, thanks Dorin for your suggestion. The T adapter gave me just enough clearance to tilt camera up. Life is good again!
Also thanks Rogein for you suggestion of 8 shots at +- 30 degrees. I will try it out. I have seen others on this forum suggest 4 @ -45, 8 @ 0, and 4 @45. I will try that too. I have a lot of experimenting to do in the next few days.
Thanks all & regards.

PTGUI and Autopano Pro

I have Autopano Pro (APP) and which I am using to create a 360x180 view. APP has no problem doing the stitching but the final image is very soft and not smooth edges. Is there some parameters in the rendering that can improve the quality of the stiched image?
I tried PTGUI that had problem doing the sticht without doing a lot of manual work, but PTGUI produced very sharp stitched image. So the problem is not my photos, it has to do with the APP algorithm or configuration. Does any body else have problem with APP and know how to fix it?
Any suggestion will greatly be appreciated.
Also, what is a good ratio between the size of pano image and the size of the viewer? I am thinking that if the pano is too large, and the viewer is small, then the viewer has to do a lot of pixel interpolation. On the other hand, if the pano is small and the viewer is large, then the viewer will do pixel exrapolation (stretching) which will degrade the viewed panorama. There has to be some optimal ratio between the size of the stitched pano and the size of the viewer where you get optimum results. Any ideas?

I have the Nodal Ninja 3 w/Nikon d70s and the sigma 10-20mm lens. I am unable to tilt the camera up for a shot of the sky without the back of the camera hitting the rotator on the NN3. The most I can do is a +40 degrees.
Any body elese have the same problem? Are there any extensions for the vertical rail (need about an extra 1 inch to have the clearance)? Does NN3 have different lenghts for the vertical rail?
Thanks

This is a followup question on my earlier question about putting panramas on DVD.
Is there a way to make a DVD or a VCD autoplay and loop (replay the movie automatically at the end of the clip)?
Maybe need to add some code or instructions somewhere on the CD/DVD to enable the requested features!
Thanks

Thanks all for your replies. I tried the Super from eRightSoft (suggested by Ronwed) but it was unable to convert my flash swf to any video format. I ran across a tread on this forum about WPanorama which does a good job converting anequirectangular panorama with pan motion to an avi format. Then I import avi to ms moviemaker and save to wmv. Using my SonicDVD software that came w/my computer, I am able to create my video CD.
However, I am not using my original SWF panorama which has nice motion with pan and zoom effects ( I can live with that). There are a bunch of S/W that do flash to video conversion none of which that I found does a good job. The motions in the converted videos are not smooth. Please let me know if any one knows of a good SWF to video converter.
I have one remaining issue. Is there a way to create a VCD or DVD that does AUTOPLAY and also LOOP (replay the video at the end of the clip)?
Thanks to all ...

I have a project in which I need to convert a Flash based panorama to a video format (avi, wmv, or mpeg) with a final goal to convert it to play on a DVD player.
Would appreciate some ideas on how to accomplish this.
Thanks

Just got the Agnos 6 meter pole. Upon testing it, I am reluctant to put my Nikon D70 on top of the pole since it is too top heavy and seems to be very unstable. I tried with a smaller Olympus 770 that I have and it seems to be a great fit. However, for my application, the Olympus 770 lens is not wide enough even w/a 0.5 converter.
Does any suggest a light weight wide angle camera (90+ FOV) in the 4+ mega pixel range.
Thanks in advance ...

Andrew Hudson-Smith said: Dear all,
A question for you D70 users -
Any ideas about how to remotely operate the shutter? The remote control option wont work as it only has a range of 15 feet.
???
Cheers in advance,
Andy
I had the same problem. This was my solution that is simple and woks prety good. Assuming that you have the small hand held IR remote, you can do the following:
The main idea is to put the IR remote on the camera and activate it remotely using a wire connection.
Mount the IR remote on the camera pointing to the IR sensor on the camera. You can mount the IR remote on the lens using a rubber band or a piece of velcro.
You need to have the button on the IR remote pressed all the time. I was able to achieve this by opening the case and putting a piece of aluminum foil on the contact.
Next, you need to extend a two line electrical cable from the remote to a handheld push switch. On the remote side, I put a piece of paper between the battery and the top side contact of the battery. Then put the two ends of electrical wire on either side of the paper insulator.
Now when you close the circuit by pressing the push switch on the other end of the electrical wire, you are energizing the IR remote which activates the camera shutter.

How do you clone out the camera from a picture. I am asuming you mean create a mask layer of the section without the camera and layer it on top of the picture w/the camera. Still, how would you take that picture without the camera in it???

With the 3 camera setup, why is there no parallax problem? The nodal point of each camera is far apart from each other!

I Just got the Sigma 10-20mm for Nikon. The 10-20 is full frame where as the Peleng is Fisheye. For Single row panoramas, the sigma 10-20 does a great job for me.
I will be adding to my lens collection a fisheye to do 360x180s. My question is which is the best between the Peleng, Nikon 10.5 and the Sigma 8 considering price and image quality?

Smooth:
Here are some sample shot w/Sigma & Nikon D70s. Pictures are bit on the soft side. Can you tell if what you see is normal for this lens or maybe I have a defective lens.
All photos are highest resolution & high quality per Nikon settings. I have taken few NEF files but have not yet figured out how to use them. No image optimization are performed on these images. Maybe I can use some camera built in features to increase the sharpening?
Anyway, please advise if the posted picture are as good as this lens can produce. Thanks ...
