Yeah, but there are equally many causes. I was just trying to find out if anyone had a similar experience specifically related to VR images.
It looks like a known Javascript bug with IE4. I'm going to confirm with the user who reported this problem if they are using IE4.

Thanks for the replies guys. What I'd really like is to continue using the G2 filebuilder beta program that I have. The problem with it is that it comes up with the Immervision splash screen that specifically states that it's beta software. Am I legally allowed to use it for commercial work and if so can I customize the splash screen?
I just like the way the Immervision app works. I don't mind upgrading to the PureTools but it seems that may not be a good idea.
I did buy FPP and I tried it once so far. It seems really easy, but I find their documentation a bit lacking too. I've also had some errors which I've not had the time to explore to see if it was me (I'm sure it is).
What is the simplest way to create basic tours? One like this: electronicmediaarts.com/z100/apartment.html#
I'm even having trouble with that. It doesn't seem to work on Firefox on a Mac.

I'm trying to research whether or not I should purchase Pure tools to make my virtual Tours. I've been on Immervision's website, and I'm not at all sure what I need to buy.
Excuse me for being dense. :-P
It seems like I need Pure Starter Toolkit to build the tours, but i also need Pure Tool hotspot creator in order to make hotspots? And then I need to buy Splasher to make a customized loader page?
Is there a Pure Tools app that has all this bundled together?
What happened to G2 FileBuilder (or something like that) that was in beta? Did it become Pure Tools? Is it still legal to use the G2 app?

I started fooling around with FPP and I really like the simplicity of it. The only problem I have with Flash VRs is that the image seems to continue a bit once you let go of the mouse. I know it's a smll thing, but can that be turned off?
I think doing VRs in Flash will become a standard. You can't argue the fact that Flash is so popular. I only see it getting better.

As neat as it looks, I find that interface to be a bit cumbersome. Its animation staggers. Also, one you click on an image, you have to click on an adjacent image to move around. I couldn't figure out how to zoom back out to see the thumbnails again.
I don't see too many Real Estate agents using this as I seems to take too long to move around.
just my opinion, though.

Let's break it down. HD = High Definition. To me that means resolution. HDR = High Dynamic Range. To me that means tonal range beyond what a monitor or printer can produce. so we re-convert the image to something that can be produced by a monitor or printer (ie, Tone Mapping). VR = Virtual Reality. I think of those video games that you have to put on special head gear. I hate the term VR to describe what we do.
How about a completely new term? HDDR Photography = High Definition & Dynamic Range Photography.
Hmmm. but that doesn't account for the immersive quality of it. HDDRi?

Yes, but what do we call it? Should it be called HDVR? And is HDVR just a matter of resolution? Or should it also include HDR images as well? However, many photographer misuse that term too.
BTW, a virtual tour could also include still photos and video.

You're right Commercial Real Estate Photographer is not specific for VR. But then again, I don't want to be specific to VR. Many of my clients aren't initially looking for a VR photographer. They want someone to take pictures of their property. Then I suggest immersive photography and they ask about it. If I use the term VR photography, my clients think they already know what that is, when in fact, they don't.

I simply call myself a Commercial Real Estate Photographer. Sometimes I go further and say that I specialize in Immersive Photography.
VR seems a bit misleading to me. I like 360ยบ but I have trouble sometimes remembering what key combination makes the degree symbol.
Instead of HD, I think I will just call it High-Quality, Full-Screen.
I also like the term Virtual Tour and I use the word "Scene" rather than nodes (which I've heard others use). But I use Virtual Tour only to describe a full tour and not individual images.
I don't like Panographer, because I think you're forever explaining what that is. Real Estate Photographer or Architectural Photographer sounds better. Or even Fine Art Panoramic Photographer sounds better to me. Not to mention Panographer sounds too close to Pornographer.

Yeah, it seems to be hip to reduce everything down to either its initials or some sort of abbreviation. I remember when FedEx was Federal Express and KFC was Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I think it either started with the military and their incessant abreviations (MRE, RPG, IED) or with advertising (ie, Mickey D).

So HDVR is nothing more than a full-screen pano?
OK is short for "All Correct." But it was joke that showed that neither the "O" nor the "K" are correct.

I've been reading about High Definition VR photography lately. What exactly is that? Is it just high resolution, or is there more to it?
