just another point it looks to me that the design of the 303 sph is flawed as the point of vertical rotation is not at the nodal point but on the axis of the centre of the tripod.
this means that the nodal point of the lens will move out of postion as you rotate the camera vertically
A minor point I know but it could have been solved by having the second moving plate at the lower level.
and when your paying that much money......

But seriously all you need for a spherical head given a 10d and a particular lens is a L shaped piece of steel with 2 holes.... OH yes thats $700 thanks very much.....
Anyone got the setting out noted above????

Haven't got one yet. as they appear to be a bit overpriced when all you need is a bent bit of tin. An exaggeration I know. Am thinking of the panosaurus which seems more resonably priced.

I have a canon 10d with a 17-40 zoom lens and a 15mm fish eye. I wonder if anyone can let me have the setting out of the nodal points ?
Any help for a beginner much appearciated.
