Thank you for all of the suggestions. Through a combination of methods described here I have managed to get the nadir to a point where I feel it's acceptable. Now I just have to work on getting the patched area to line up better. I have re-uploaded the image to my gallery, so please take another look here www.panoguide.com/gallery/865/

I've finally got my first outdoor panorama done (www.panoguide.com/gallery/859/), but as you can see, the seams on the patched Nadir are very obvious. How are you blending in your Nadir shots?

I tried to use the Adjust->Levels in CS3, but couldn't get it right since the shades differ from the top of the Nadir to the bottom.

Any pointers?

For pre-made templates I like what there is to offer at www.templateworld.com. If you're a member the downloads for the templates include all of the artwork in .psd files so you can pull out the pieces you want if you're modifying them.

As for a layout, if I can find some free time I'll see what I can do but I can't make any promises. I'm usually busy trying to perfect my interior pano technique. smile

Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering if the off the shelf software generated the HTML code for you. I develop web pages as a full time job, so it's not so much a skill issue as it is wanting something to reduce my time to web for panoramas.

I'll probably mash up bits and pieces of the panorama pages that I think look good to come up with something. I do like the DevalVR auto-detect/ability to change panorama format between DevalVR/QuickTime/Flash.

Thanks again!

What are you using to generate the HTML page that contains the panorama? I like the layout and was wondering if it was an off the shelf deal or something you've done yourself.

I've been looking at all of these great panoramas and am wondering what you are using to generate the HTML pages that the panoramas are embeded in.

Is everybody doing it by hand, or do any of the software packages generate it for you?

Here is my latest with the 18-55 lens. I did not shoot an accurate Zenith or Nadir since my pano head is too small for my camera. I could have probably done it free hand, but that will be next time.

The upgrade won't happen for some time or unless this camera dies. I wouldn't technically consider a D70 an upgrade, but rather "newer" would be a better term. I do want a camera that can do +/- 2EV in case I want to do simple bracketing.

Since I'm still just an amateur, there's a lot I need to learn about both photography and equipment.

Thanks for your input, I'll hold out for the Nikkor.

I'm trying to research which lens would be best for interior panoramas as that's what 90% of mine will be. I'll be using a D50 for taking the pictures, but may upgrade to a D70 later on. I am looking at:

Peleng 3.5/8mm
Nikon 10.5mm
Sigma 8mm

I don't have a problem taking 6 around vs. 4 around so that's not an issue. I may want to shoot in confined spaces so I would like items as close as 1 foot to be in focus.

Can someone provide some insight into which would be best for my goals?

Thanks in advance.

No remote as of yet, but I'm planning on buying a generic one from eBay. I'll should be able to get some pictures this weekend for an outdoor panorama. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your help.

During my search for a very versatile gallery that can handle multiple formats, I came across:

www.flashnifties.com/media_gallery.php

I'm not the developer or related to him/her/them in any way. For the price, I think it's a bargain.

I've just completed my first Panorama with the following:

* Amvona tripod with ball head
* Nodal Ninja v1
* Nikon D50
* Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED

Experience with using manual controls of the camera is beginner.

Here is the result of my first try:
