I'm surprised Eric, using "chess for dummies" for this demo. BTW the watch has some serious color problems. I think your new lens needs a calibration
You did it again……HAHA! Thanks for sharing

Don't forget the Sig 15mm, newer design, and a bit cheaper.

Hans Nyberg said: Ken Rockwell is nuts. Hans
Is he ? At least this Rockwell guy has some humor, you don't.
The Rockwell guy has some nice stuff on his site and if you don't believe it, just use google for another opinion. It's a photographer not a pano maker so his view on FE lenses is different. It's too easy to say someone is nuts.

Never, never remove one of the glasses of a lens system. ! It's not one glass, it's a system and tested before sale as a set !
The SY is a fine lens with a nice projection and is sharp towards edges. Flare can be an issue but that is with all lenses (more or less)
Shaving the hood of FE lenses doesn't matter that much.

Hey Heinz, that's fun.. At 04-03-2007 I asked Robbert Langezaal (Manager Tokina Services Europe b.v. Almere The Netherlands) if they could make a lens version without the hood. At 05-03-2007 I got reply that they would discuss it at the PMA in Las Vegas. It took 4 Y but hey, they did..

If 24mm is wide enough try the 24mmTS-E-II (forget series I) It's very good wide open and the right tool for buildings etc. The 17mm TS-E has some flare issues and is very heavy. Both lenses are expensive.
The 17-40 mm is oké but not so good in corners and has no shift.

Well, some Yank bought the "idea" from some Romanian people in 2004.. Now is time to cash, haha ! This Wilson, Jr;Richard, so called owner, hired an ass-lawyer. What's the point ? It's a shame this lawyer has time to contact clients and does. It's a shame that that disturbs client contact for panoramic photographers. But don't worry, this is 2009 news when you google Good luck in the US, No change this would be a problem in EU.
