True, ofcourse you can also think of fotoshopping on both side of the seams and nadir patching. In short, things that google's automated stitcher doesn't do.

It's a way to upload quality images to the automated stitcher for 'google shopview'.
If you first stitch the images yourself, and apply hdr / fusion /what ever you need to make a perfect image, and convert them back to circular images, you just might be able to feed google with a better quality pano's than the crap they are showing now.
(you cannot upload equirectangulars to google)

But do they use those pano's scaled/embedded on a page or as full screen? I can't imagine you'll get a reasonable quality at 3000*1500 using a modern screen.

Yes, 3000x1500 is a perfect resolution.
When you're using an iPhone.

**edit: and of course all html5 mobile devices will also be effected by this script, so the mobile_flash/index.html will look like
<html> <head> <title>****</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8">
<script type="text/javascript" src="modernizr-1.5.min.js"> </script>
</head> <body>
<script type="text/javascript"> test=document.getElementById("test"); {if (Modernizr.csstransforms3d) { location.href=('_html5/index.html'); } else {location.href=('_flash/index.html'); } }
</script> <noscript> <p class="warning">Please enable Javascript!</p> </noscript> </body> </html>
you will need to download the modernizr-1.5.min.js sript and put it in your dir. strucure, for example here: gallery.vamos360.com/sea-dogs-pieterburen/moderni...

<script type="text/javascript"> if (screen.width < 1025) { window.location = "mobile_flash/index.html"; } </script>
should do the trick, note that also older types pc with a 1024x768 resolution will be redirected.

This is a copy of a post I made on the p2vr forum, since usually I get faster reactions here and I'm in a bit of a hurry:
I have a pano starting at position 268/-23/60 and I want it to make a 360 degree spin after loading. So I tried 'Loaded' '268/-23/60' which doesn't do anything probably because it's already there. I tried 'Loaded' '269/-23/60', that makes it move slightly contra-clockwise. And I tried 'Loaded' '267/-23/60' and that makes it move a little clockwise. So what do I do to make this work?
Is there for example a way to move to view 269/-23/60 and tell p2vr to go clockwise?
Thanks, Ronald

I use 6, because that way I'll always have 3 control points per image to position the nadir shot. Didn't try it with less actually.

I am using 6 soda bottle caps on which I've drawn a cross. I put 3 next to the legs, and 3 between the legs, using viewpoint correction in ptgui. They are very easily removed in photoshop.
