Hotel Sample project

Cool, thanks for the feedback guys. I get what you're saying about the mouse behaviour. It doesn't bother anyone but us hardened panographers though, who play around with several types of software. A client using this for the first time doesn't have anything to compare it to, & seem to get the hang of it pretty quick I've found. Personally I find it easier, but maybe I'm just used to it & we can't all like the same things. wink

I'm also not happy about the advertisement Smooth & I'm working on that. It's gone on a private branding page I have, but then I'm advertising MY logo, which is not my goal either. I just want a neutral loader. Work in progress, but like I said it's my first stab at this. Thanks again - all comments taken on board. (Even yours gus.. laugh )

Thanks gus,

Not sure what you mean with the mouse behaviour? AFAIK it's still click & drag on the screen, same as your (excellent) limo ones.. What do you find it's doing that's strange? I agree on the sharpening, but didn't want to overdo it, I'm still experimenting.

Not really big in demand here yet, but anything can happen. It's all in the marketing..

Atomicmac, thanks for the input, but what do you agree with gus on? Is it the strange mouse behaviour, or that you'd be happy if you were a paying customer? Fullscreen is automatically integrated as part of the Show 3 software, so may as well use it - I have a widescreen display as well & distortion doesn't really look any better or worse than the skin. Thanks for looking!

Hey guys, just thought I'd offer a look into this work in progress. It's one of my first stabs at this, so would appreciate any constructive criticism. There are a few small issues with the photography, but I'm not gonna point them out just yet. wink It's only a sample, hence some generic text scrolling across the screen.

Hi Gus,

I was actually referring to your reflection straight ahead in the mirror against the driver partition. (It looks like the driver partition - I could be wrong)

Ah, so you had some hired help on FPP? Looks like it paid off.. I'll call on your advice once I get stuck into it again.

Wow, very nice & definitely presentation worthy! I don't think Limo owners are pixel peepers like us, & even the noisy ones will be ok. The tour format is spot-on, to me in anyway. Might want to remove your reflection in the Arnage Limo though. wink

I have a love-hate relationship with FPP, fueled mostly by frustration (I have yet to get lift-off on a single ONE!) but seeing yours makes me want to give it another try!! Very cool.. cool

Simple enough. Does anybody have any idea how much space and bandwidth 3D Vista offers as part of their free hosting service in Show 3? Their documentation states 250 MB (which is not much, considering) only bundled with the Real Estate version, & a very low 30 MB for the Show version. Link that to a 8-10 MB file, comprising of a skin and a few scenes in a high-end hotel, & you have a grand total of 3 tours to host. Someone please tell me I'm wrong on this one..

Hosting 101

Thanks Doug , mostly hotels, resorts & showrooms, possibly the occasional real estate.

I'll check out the links you provided, although the normal Google packages are looking pretty attractive. Unlimited storage & downloads for $11 a month..! Seems like an option.

3D Vista includes all this as part of the package for free, but as yet unconfirmed storage space. Also some sources indicate 3 months free, some 1 year free, and their website lists very low hosting space. Waiting for Jose to get back to me.

Thanks again.

OK I've done a search but al the posts assume you know something about hosting already. I have no shame in saying I'm a complete lackey when it comes to this.

I would like to host my tours on a server, is there any basic info on how to set this up? Do I honestly have to go & design a website & purchase a domain just for this? All I want is space to host the tours, & supply the client with a link. How difficult am I making this for myself?

Any help appreciated.

That's what I'm trying to do Arampan. Can you tell me how to get a working copy like yours without the watermarkings?

The trial version prompts me to consult the website (no luck there) or forwards me to a password page.

Hi Smooth

I have done so a while ago already thanks. I do enjoy using Tourweaver (trial version) , but would still like to compare these 2 products in terms of features & price.

Got it - thanks Nick.. I'm definitely off to do a few experiments. It should save quite a bit of time in Photoshop, especially if you are doing multiples for dynamic range.
