On more or less the same subject, which software would you recommend for making tours with a revolving compass on a map or floorplan?
Would you recommend 360 degrees of VRbrochure FX Professional (360dof.com)?
Appreciate the inputs.

I am new to the site and am trying to figure out how to make fullscreen panos in Java not Quicktime. I’ve been using PTGui and have produced several 6000 x 3000 pixel panos. They work fine on web pages when reduced to 3000 x 1500 – the fullsize 6000 x 3000 ones don’t seem to load – java says loading 100% complete and just hangs there.
On various sites you see panos that appear progressively - with grey and white squares progressively turning into the image.
What software is required to make large fullscreen panos which appear progressively? (An example is David Locke’s Virtual Big Ben site www.virtualbigbend.com/tour/pena_mountain/full.php).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi Smooth,
Thanks for your information. I do already have the Nikon cameras (D70 and D200).
I like to the idea of the 4 main shots with the sigma 8mm as I presume this will work better for crowd scenes and other action panos. Is that the main advantage of the sigma 8mm over the nikkor 10.5 lens?
I've been on the Agnos site. Is the "MrotatorTCP" Kit MrotatorT with bracket for Cylindrical and/or Cubical "Portrait" Professional panoramic images the one you would recommend? Thanks.

I’d appreciate advice from experienced users I am new to Panos and want to invest in good equipment for 360 x 180 action panos. I’m using Nikon D-70 and D-200.
Which lens would be preferable, the Sigma Fisheye 8MM F/4.0 EX or the Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX?
Am I right in thinking that the Sigma 8mm would require fewer photos (4+1) than the Nikkor lens to make a complete 360 x 180? How many pictures do you have to take with the Nikkor 10.5?
Also what is the best pano head?
Thanks for your help.
