You did well selling it used for almost the same price as what you paid. Nodal Ninja has always had an excellent resale record.
Here's an example of one selling used for $30 more than a new one: tinyurl.com/5jrxm9

It would help to know when and where you bought your NN to help us determine what model you have. In the interim take a look at #9, 10, & #11 on our FAQ page at: nodalninja.com/faq_s.html - this might help resolve your issues.
cheers

Hi there.
I am using the NN3 with a D200. This camera is too heavy for it and causes significant lean compared to the level setting. Additionally the original yaw axis tensioning arrangement is absolutely useless. I understand that this is now replaced by a replacement part that works properly - which victims of the original design error are expected to purchase.
Against that its light and compact and (compared to the competition) reasonably priced. Make sure your camera isn't too heavy.

Hi Skridlov,
I use NN3 on a D200 and D300 without problem. Those that experience difficulty usually just have the lower rotator incorrectly tightened which causes the lean and very "easily" fixed. NN3's sold before Feb 2008 use a lock screw in the center of the lower rotator. NN3 MKII did away with this. The older NN3's still work just fine but you need to review #10 on the FAQ page of our website for the quick fix: www.nodalninja.com/faq_s.html
This should address your issues - if it doesn't and you didn't buy your NN second hand you have a full 2 year warranty that allows us to fix it free if needed.
Keep us posted on if this fix does the trick.
Thanks
Bill

Coming soon: Advanced Rotators for Nodal Ninjas
Re: Coming soon: Advanced Rotators for Nodal Ninjas

Nodal Ninja and its rotators use 3/8 threads. NN also uses a 1/4 thread adapter inside the 3/8 mount which when used will accommodate 1/4 mounts. So the combination can be used across a broad platform of equipment.
These new rotators have yet to hit the market so the general public will not be able to answer questions very well. For inquiries on upcoming products it may best to post these in our forum - www.nodalninja.com/forum. As soon as we learn more we will post updates there.
thanks

Hi Marc,
Gee maybe I should have asked $600 wink
I actually did ask about a refund very shortly after getting it due to setup issues. At the time you said it was to expensive and that I should try selling on eBay.
But that's ok - certainly no ill feelings as this was my decision.
I have told buyer to contact you if he has any questions.
thanks Bill

doesn't worry me - not a bad investment just more poor judgment on my part but the tax man allowed the deduction. As with any product it fits the bill for some but not for me.
Does seem like a good company tho - they were there when I asked for help.

Brand new - NEVER used. Well I did load the batteries and turn it on. Didn't have correct cables to work my D200 (the ones they sent needed to be soldered and put together). They did send a newer D200 cable so I do have that but haven't used it.
This is just too big and bulky for me and only works on batteries (power adapter didn't fit). Sorry - no manual provided.
Not sure why I even bought it, one of those impulsive buys I guess so my loss is your gain.

This is what I bought:
1.) PanoMachine version 3.0 EUR 1075,- net
2.) Adapter for NN 3 EUR 35,- net
3.) Camera cable for your NIKON D 200 EUR 95,- net (you have to slice it but I have a second cable they sent).
4.) Panoramic Calculator Software (a free gilf) EUR 00,- net (in German)
5.) Sigg Thermo Mug (a free gift) EUR 00,- net (not included - broke in shipment)
6.) External power supply (world wide) EUR 50,- net (does not fit - you would need to purchase adapter)
7.) Shipping by DHL express EUR 145,- net (this is what I paid in shipping)
Total amount paid 1400 Euro = 1930.38 US Dollar

I'm asking only $500 so first come first serve.....
Free shipping too!
contact me at: bill[at]nodalninja[dot]com.
thx
