Thanks Lee, I appreciate the advice. Time to dust-off my Director reference books, then!

I'm a new member, although I've been following the postings on this excellent site for some time.

I'd be grateful for any opinions on the best options for packaging panoramas on CD, providing a quality user interface and decent performance on an average desktop computer. I've experimented with PTViewer/html using an autorun file, which produces reasonable results, but I'd appreciate any views on the alternatives.

Director/Quicktime is likely a robust combination but I'm concerned about the amount of support generally for Quicktime (50% to 60%?). I'm also a bit confused by Apple's software agreement for distributing Quicktime with multimedia products.

The problem with Java-based viewers seems to be the uncertainty over future support for the JVM.

Would I be better considering a software package such as Pano2exe, or such like? I know next to nothing about these software packages, so I would be very grateful for any advice from anyone who has used them. I should add that I'm more concerned with quality and reliability than price. Sorry if some of this sounds a bit vague.
