Thanks one more time. I had no luck with the vertical jpg, but making it "normal" horisontal jpg, I managed ( with your settings in Make Cubic, that I use ) to be able to rotate freely.

Thanks for your advice. It would be simple if one just could rotate the quicktime player in the html page =) The image looks like this ....

Vertical Panorama in QuickTime?

I have a vertical panorama that I would like to also scroll vertically in QuickTime.
I use the Make Cubic software to convert the jpg image to a 360x180 panorma, but now I need to make it 180x360.
Make Cubic automatically rotates the pano to a horisontal one.
Any ideas?

You can use a bubble level in the cameras hot shoe. Very practical. And then put your right foot slightly forward, have the nodal point of lens over your toe, and rotate around that. I think it was Hans Nyberg who thought of that.
I use a similar technique but use a normal tripod ( without attaching the camera to it ) to keep track of where the nodal point should be.

Or just use the Polar Cordinates filter in Photoshop. And then a vertical resize.

Its hard to say. Some color management may have been involved.

There are many 3d apps that can output to swf format ( Flash ). Lightwave, 3dstudio Max, Strata 3d an so on. I us Strata3d. Its built in. On some apps I thik you need to buy the plugin from www.erain.com/ ( called swift3d ). It is also a standalone 3d app.

Yes, a Flash will just give you uneven exposures and make the images very hard to stitch. With a tripod you can use longer times instead.

Normally lenses have autofocus, but on the Peleng you ned to focus on the subject manually. But as the Peleng is a Fisheye anything beyound 2 meters will be sharp anyways, if you have it set on infinity. So its not a big issue.

If the Peleng had made a clean circle of 180 degrees you could make a quite nice panorama just by unwrapping the image with the Polar Cordinates filter ( much like the oneshot solutions do ).
What you can test first is taking a photo with the camera facing the ground and then change the canvas size ( in Photoshop ) so it fits the "circle" of your image ( what should have been the circle if the peleng were more wide ). And then run the Polar Coordinates filter to straighten the image. Or use Ptools for that.
Although this will create a 360 image, parts of it will be missing ( edges ).
I did a example for you ( using Peleng and 350d ) and shot the ceiling and you can see that it needs to cropped quite a bit.
