Cheers for all the sugestions... Im still not 100% sure about which application is the best to produce Panoramic TOURS. Im thinking of going the Flash output way so would need a software that can produce flash panos.
Ive had a look at Tourweaver, looks simple to setup tours but 999 Euros...pfffffway too much for me.

The other solutions seeem to all include using an xml file to creat the controllers, maps etc? is that right?
Want an application thats going to help me creat tours, a map with hotspots and a pano window....

Ive just more or less finished my website and Im thinking of how I can add my panos to it. I would like to know how to achieve the basic viewer with controls to zoom in/out and the arrows to move around as well as a FullScreen button.

Can anyone offer any advice? How can I get my panos up!

Hi, Im building my own website (first time) using CSS and Dreamweaver. Ive got the main structure and navigation up and would like to start thinking about adding content. Its a personal Page with info/portfolio of work, etc.

I want the index page to be where the panos are shown. Id like to know how to go about this, how to achive the viewer and controls... I want something like this viewer.
www.madridvirtual.com/

My index page is the viewer and pano and below a bit of text, so my question if how do I get a viewer like that?

By the way I have Immervisions Pureplayer incase that info is useful

Hi, I use Immervisions Pure player. For a test I want to insert the pano into my webpage in Dreamweaver. I can seem to do this...any ideas? I out put the pano in flash package and it creates all the files. I can open the html file and the pano displays but I dont know how to incorporate it into my index page of my pano.

Ive got a div tag which is the content area of my site, want to insert it there.

Well Im really just looking for some insight...I would like to embark on a big project and would like some general suggestions and advice before I begin.
I would like to try and design and publish something similar to this page (on a smaller scale): www.madridvirtual.com/

Im going to design the webpage, for this im thinking of designing the layout of the site in Photoshop and then finish it off in Dreamweaver. The add the Pano viewer (I think its in flash format on the specified webpage) and try and add the map aswell.

Anyways any ideas, suggestions, views, links, etc would be appreciated. Cheers.

Hi, Im trying to get some proper equipment together to start shooting some panos. Ive done so in the past but have always used friends, or uniersities equipment.

Ive got myself a Canon 10D 2 hand quite cheap and Im now looking for a lens. Id ideally like a fisheye lens although I know theyre very expensive. Can someone give me some advice on Which fisheye lens would be appropiate, some examples of the prices and where I could get my hands on them either online websites, ebay, etc.

Cheers.

I dont know if my question is out of place here, so sorry if it is. Im thinking of starting a project, a virtual visit to interesting places of my city. Im only thinking of doing it as a hobby, practice and try and develope my technique, it will also be a good example to show to potential employers. Ive seen some interesting examples on the web.
Im looking for a map, aerial vision but I cant seem to find any. Id like something like the map on this site:
www.madridvirtual.com
Basically Ide like to achieve what theyve done with their site. Any ideas, advice, etc will be apreciated.

Hi, well after a lot of time Ive got this...umm prototype up and running. Its part of a project, Id say the main part of it is probably the written aspect of research and developing panoramas...because of this I didnt spend a lot of time designing the environment where tha panoramas are. There are only three panoramas as this is what I could pull off in the time I had.
If you guys could mabey have a look and just comment?

Ive got a presentation and Im thinking about what I can say.
1)Panoramic content greatly enhances any institution, This one is a university so:
a.Good for perspective students to see facilities
b.can be used at presentations with panoramas on projectores, etc.
2)Serves as a bridge to other sites with small amounts of informationa dn links.
3)The design is weak but improvement could be made reaseonably easily.

Would Implement in a second version:

More panoramas of other facilities: Cafeteria, Library, Dorm rooms, Lecture halls, etc.
More info on these panoramas.
Better design of web environment.

The Panoramas can be viewed fullscreen and there are some effects available. Please dont be too harsh as Iam a begginer. There are some problems Iam trying to sort out, like the color of links and some images are not too good.
here is the link:

Ive recently purchused the Profiler package and unfortunatley not a good experience. Anyone have experience using the effects?? I would like to add some effects like rain and snow. Basically give the viewers the same options as the example on immervisions site.
Ive tried everyhting but nothing seems to work, therefore Ive got nothing out of the application..
My steps:

In profiler I selct the .IVP file of my panoraama and add the rain effect.
Generate .JAR file
Then in my xml file I add the code for rain
and in the html code I change the PurePlayerPro for the profiled one.

Nothing happens.

Any ideas? have any of you used these effects?

Hi Smooth,
Ive read my other post but I am still not clear. Jurgen Eidt reccomends level 11 90 - 95 and you recommend 55 - 75 quality. I still have the original psd output from PTGui from there I get my .jpeg for my pano. When saving it I am not sure what quality setting to put. What is the "Normal" weight of a panoramic Image?
I have considered your advice to use 4000 x 2000 images Iam using 5000 x 2500 because John recommended this file size, I will check and compare file weights and diferences.

Thanks for the help.

Ive asked but havent really gotten an answer...My current jpeg files are saved at medium quality and are about 422 KB...my question is what are acceptable image sizes for panos? Im not sure whether I should save the jpegs at full quality or exactly what quality and what are the maximum acceptable size weight for the images. Please can someone advice me on the issue.

I use Immervision Viewer and my pano wont really go live as It is part of a project which I will have to hand in to lecturers.
