Thanks to this site I have spent quite a bit of cash! I only wish I had discovered it before I spent my money on bad products! Very helpful, leading edge. No other site out there like this! Maybe a list of companies, people to contact by area would be the next step. Make it a resource for people looking for referrals?

I would have to agree. My first purchase was a one 360. Not happy with the resolution quality. Have tried to work with them, but there is not much you can do. Read my other forum topics, I have had the same problems and have moved on to fisheye lens.

Using 3 Hemi w-panoweaver legal in US?

Well, I've got some answers and I thought I would share. Thank you for your message.

As you know the patent issue is a little bit messy.
Ipix and Ford Oxaal are in a matted lawsuit. Please see
www.pictosphere.com/kwx/news.html .
Nobody knows who on earth owns the patent.

You can use 3 fisheye stitching instead of 2 fisheye images
stitching with Panoweaver 3.01 Professional Edition, which has nothing
to do with the patent issue. Please rest assured that none of our
customers is involved in this issue now.

Another method to avoid it is to post the panoramas with Cubic panoramas
(QTVR5, MGI pano and VRML formats).
As far as I can see from their patents, nothing about cubic panorama
,cubic vr and cubic movie have ever been mentioned in their patents.
You can also have a look at their patents at:
patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sec....html&r=4&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=ptxt&s1=immersive&s2=fisheye&OS=immersive+AND+fisheye&RS=immersive+AND+fisheye

Please read the following Cubic panorama related Links for more information:

Whenever you have any problem, please do not hesitate to contact us.

After working with 0-360, fisheye images and a kaidan pano head (stiching 20
images) I've come to the conclusion that the first two give you about the
same resolution, fisheye a little better. The stiching, multiple rows does
give the best clarity and resolution. It's what I always tell my students,
there are no shortcuts, if it takes longer it is usually better.

should I use a fisheye?

Yes and no, iPIX has a patent that says that you can't, unless you use there software. Only one other company is licensed to stich fisheye images and that is www.pictosphere.com. HOwever the resolution between a one shot lens vs the spherical is not that much. The only difference is the looking up and down.

Wow, still confused by the whole iPIX thing. If I use their equipment, but take 3 shots, and process with panoweaver, is this legal?

Does the startup equipment from Ipix work with other fisheye software? Like Panoweaver. I want to use the rotator and lens from Ipix but want to escape the software and cost. Is this legal?

Does anyone have a preference or use a fisheye for the G5? If so which model? Do you have to have more than 180 degree to be successful with easypano? For that matter what is the best program to use with a fisheye shot. 2 or is 3 pictures better? Aaaaggggghhhhhhh! Brain starting to hurt, please lend advice.

I'm upgradeing from my one-360, which has crummy resolution for $600! devil

What software are you using? Most will blend or adjust for you, or you can use photoshop to adjust levels of individual shots before you stich.

Maybe you should package and sell, your resolution is cleaner than my 1-360 mirror!

Hi, beautiful images. However, you need to soften or lighten the background. Very hard on the eyes. The notices about broadband are helpful, just too large. Small disclaimer at the bottom would do. Very nice, what camera / software are using?

Hello everyone,
Teacher on vacation starting to turn hobby into a business. I recently purchased the one 360 and have not had a lot of success with the quality. I'm shooting with the Canon G5 and followed the directions. It does not compare to the stiched ones that I have done. I'm looking for any helpful advice that you might have!

My Software: VR Worx, Photoshop

Equipment: Manfrotto 3011N tripod
Manfrotto 486 head
I love the spherical panos but the price is high. If I can get better resolution with the one shot that would be great.
