Hello there
Like alot visitors and members of this site I have learned a lot here. Up until recently I have taken reasonable panos without any stitching problems, but now I have and I have tried everything I know, including adding more control points, but I cant get it sorted. Mainly the problem is around the nadir. I never shoot a nadir shot I just use the clone and patch tools for this, with reasonable success. My settings on canon 30d and NN3 havent changed and this why Im confused. Below is a sample of my latest nadir.
Any sugestion??? or am I missing something.

I think it depends on your target audience. If your audience is going to be the members of this site then you'd better have every possible option available or your your going to get told off. If your putting these on view for the general public then you have got to avoid the plugin option. This only leaves flash and java. In my opinion I think flash isn't smooth enough and thats why I only use java at present. Also its available on 94% of machines according to W3C, see here: www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
Also, I have a question for Opera users, Why use Opera. If something works perfect on IE and Firefox and doesn't work in Opera then surely the fault lies with Opera.

Hello I used Firefox to view th tour and the panoramas all looked great and my favourite was the black and white one on the balcony although I would have preferred to start the tour of the building at the front door and not the balconey. Another thing I didn't like was your drop down lists don't have a dafault value which made me think the page hadn't loaded or were they even dropdown lists. Unfortunetly when I tried to go fullscreen the browser crashed. This happened twice in Firefox and once in IE6.0. What software did you use to create the tour?
I hope this helps. Heggy

You've got some amazing panoramics there. Any chance of you telling us what equipment you have mounted on your helicopter. Please

It must be sad to lose a natural landmark like this I wonder do you have any images of what the bridge looked like before it collapsed. We have some natural bridges here in Donegal too and I would be sad if they suddenly dissappeared.

Hello Nick Im not sure if that was the system they used. They had four cameras mounted on top of car. All the cameras were poitioned at 90 degrees to each other and they all took a shot at the same time and took several at intervals along a street. They used software then to to stitch all the images of the street together to create a vrtour of the street that could be viewed at one time. Maybe you could say it was a tubuler(?) panoramic as opposed to a cubical/spherical.

Hello Forum I watched a program on a Chinese channel CCTV that talked about panoramics and a virtual tour website of Shanghai. I didn't get the address of the website maybe someone here knows of it. I have googled it obviously but to no avail. The particular site is different to what I have seen before. This Virtual tour had the facility of being able to move along a street and still be able to view 360 degrees at any point. I was curious to know did anybody here see the program and if so what they they thought of the technology used.
Cheers Heggy

Hello Jomosoft
I think your pano is excellent. I shot one pano today and I learned that it is difficult to transfer a great view from a height into a vrpano. You say the sun shines everyday in Aruba, then surely you must have some good tips for keeping your shadow out of the finished panoranmic. I would lke to know how you achieve this. If you dont mind. Thank you.
