ASBO! laugh

Only time constraints restrict my travel at the moment - although I did once get lost and find myself in a quaint backwater called Bath where they had a very picturesque little church they call Bath Abbey. wink

I'll put some other panos on there very soon. Honest. In the meantime, thank you for your kind comments about the crane pano!

And you are quite correct, we Panographers are indeed masters of all we see!

I guess it might actually have helped if I'd told you where my gallery was blush

Sorry about that! Here it is: www.panoguide.com/gallery/user/3151/

Apologies.

And I would like to third the motion. I started taking panoramas a while ago and the members of this forum and have been nothing but informative, helpful and supportive.

Many thanks to all those people out there who have helped me with my hobby. I literally couldn't have done it without you! smile

Thanks for your defence of my spelling Pete!!!

To add my two pence worth (or two "cents" worth for the non correct-English speakers wink ) quire is also a measure of paper, 24 or 25 sheets worth. Completely unrelated to a church, but true nonetheless!!

Hi Pete,

Glad you liked the panos. I have to say that the quire pano is probably my favourite too. I did consider taking enough shots for HDR panos, but sometimes I think they have a tendency to look a little 'fake' after processing.

Your panos of Newcastle Cathedral are fantastic! The detail in the stained glass windows of the second pano (Pano3) really makes them leap out of the screen at you. I think these types of building really suit panoramics, as your Canon's Stalls pano shows. (Nice pipes, by the way smile )

For the Nave pano I tried to bracket the shots, but even then the window detail was too burnt out to be of use. I think another visit is in order and I'll have to try your method.

Thanks again for taking the time to have a look.

Cheers,

Ben

PS - I also really liked your market panos. Might have to try a nearby market myself soon.

Hi Paul

Many thanks for your kind comments!

I'd love to see the panos from your local church when you've had a chance to do them.

Hi everyone

I've replaced the panos in my gallery (www.panoguide.com/gallery/user/3151/) with some new ones. The majority were taken in Bristol Cathedral, which is somewhere I've always wanted to do panos of, but I had to wait a while until my ability caught up with my imagination!

The garden pano was taken in a nearby church where I initially intended to take some shots inside, but arrived just as they were starting a service, so I moved to the garden instead.

I'd love to know what you think.

Hi Gus

Thanks for having a look and letting me know what you think! Much appreciated! I've been experimenting a bit with mirror balls to see what I think of them - so far I think I like them, but it does kind of depend on the pano. I do all my panos with a stitched in nadir to cover the tripod head and then decide after if I'm going to put in the mirror ball - I didn't think it looked right in the greenhouse pano, so I put a logo there instead.

As for the cat, that's about as interested and energetic as she gets!!!! laugh

Thanks again for having a look.

Thanks very much for your comments John - much appreciated, especially from someone with as much experience as your good self.

I do have other panos from around the same area which I will post soon and those have been given a dose of USM, which has helped.

I look forward to hearing what you think of those!

Hi everyone

This is the first time I've ever put my panos on public view for others to scrutinise and I'd be interested in any thoughts you may have. Be gentle with me! wink

Hi Pete

I've found the same thing with the Flash versions I've produced and asked in another post if there was a way to cure this jerkiness. It seems that the problem lies with Flash 8 and goes away with Flash 9. Ah well!

I tried the autorotate sprite which worked a treat and will certainly do for me at the moment! Thanks for the tip!

Hi Pete

I've been getting to grips with Pano2QTVR and have been creating Flash files that rotate but didn't the same was possible with QT .mov files. How have you managed to get .mov files to rotate automatically when played back - presumably in QuickTime?

Thanks for you help,
