It seems not as detailed as the Chinese site, but Google has one similar that you can view Apollo landing sites.

www.google.com/moon/

Thanks Bob, as well as Google Earth software where one can switch from the view of Earth to Moon or even Mars.

But the above link is from map published the other day from the photos recently took by the lunar probe Chang’e-2 (named after the Chinese moon goddess) the details are up to 7 m.

I only managed to find it in Chinese, even installed the Moon3d but was unable to use it due to the UI only in Chinese language.

What I found and used was this
159.226.88.30:8080/CE2release/cesMain.jsp
I managed to see the Apollo old traces

There is a rar for download, but as I said only managed to have it in Chinese.

Appreciate any point to an English variant.

thanks,

Hi Clay, you can generate rectiliniar/fish eye images back from the equirectangular with overlap but will not be the overlap from the original images. Some of that info is lost for good as the blender, when joins images into equirectangular, keeps and blends some parts and left other parts of one of the overlapping images out.

As a procedure will be close with what I posted couple of years back here in the forum when I posted how to show your panoramas on your camera's display, but, as usual, with no interes at all from the readers.

Maybe if you just list the price you'll be fine to receive for these, that can go to a quick sale, still if you want the best price then an auction to ebay might be more suitable.

Hans, not sure you are aware but you can provide an .xml for krpano for those who cannot see the .mov.
I, for example, not having QuickTime installed in my PC.

this is the syntax for krpano's xmls files to display this .mov in krpano (you may need to add the path before the .mov)

Hi Graeme, Canon 350D is a good camera, what's wrong with the manual focus anyway?

With Canon 350D you can bracket up to +-6.7 EV and have ISO from 100 to 3200 in 1/3 stops as well, if you have the latest CHDK in it.
Though you didn't said if you still have the 350D, but if you do then worth to try to use it again.

The diverser and easier way to do panoramas the greater need for panoheads will be.

I read somewhere there are 400 bilion photos taken in every year, if every photo were require a tripod the number will be much much less and at the statement "I'm a photographer" one will be still receiving "A what?" instead of the nowadays "Me too!"

Just because of those 400 bn photos/yr, the sales of the tripods go well, I have couple of them.

I done this
m.livepanoramas.com/event/IzenaNoKai/?pano=012
handheld, was no way to use a tripod nor a monopod in that case beacause I was "dancing" too
there is a bigger resolution with www. instead of m.

But I still have another 15000 panos with R1 and will have further more with a twin R1

If the panohead producer is openminded and listen and tune his develeopment sinched with the natural evolution and needs he will have guaranteed success.

Depending of scene some techique can be suited than other, if you have the cooperation of the place owners, starting with ropes and even using a kite (when is constant wind) can be used as well, just like you see the parachute stay up and distant from shuttle when space shutle lands, that can be used on tall towers as well,

This was not the case when the crane make thinghs somehow simplier.

Upgrade from Sigma 8mm

Was shoot with more than one lens, the longer was 50mm

The 8-15mm at 15mm will be somewhere in between i.e. greater than 8mm regarding the resolution, with a given camera the resolution can be computed.
Keep in mind the crop camera could give greater resolution than fulframe camera it all deppends on pixell density on the sensor.

Camera used was Canon 350D, the panohead was NN 5, software PTgui among others

I already sugested 8-15mm which will allow you more amount of zoom at 15 mm.

Of course you can go for the 50mm and beyond

Is this ok related to zoom ? (shot with 50mm among other lens)

Accurate bearings?

I hope you'll read the specifications of the rotators.

The advanced rotators has click stops, mean a detent plunger stops the rotator at desired position AND as a extra they have a knob for locking the rotation, mean if you tighten the knob the rotator become secured in that position and you can take your set for focus stacking, after that you'll untighten the knob an the rotator can go to the next stops (deppending uppon the rotator model them the stops can be as dense as 3.5°)
I think all them have positions you need for, check that.

The bearings not need to be exactly quite at 90° for what you're doing, if you belive so then you need to learn to align the merged shoots.

The slight sidaways play will be almost none as you can secure both rotators in a particular position.
But are another causes which can produce plays, starting the with the rubber tips of your tripod and such, again knowledges of align within the stacks will help and inspect your setup and tighten all that can produce play.
