Then you are doing it properly. With bracketed RAW images, you should not have issues with exposure. You have plenty of material to work with.
I wish I shot raw from the very beginning. There are many panoramas I would love to go back and correct, but cannot. Same with family pictures. I wish I discovered RAW early on.

You do not vary the exposure. You properly expose for the brightest area of the entire panorama, then lock the exposure.

Shoot RAW, expose properly for the brightest part of the scene, bring up the shadows during conversion.

i would lilke to know the utility of panorama editor in generaly not for nadir patch Where to start. There are so many uses for the panorama editor window it would take quite a lot of space here to explain all of them.
I would say the biggest time saver is the ability to zoom in on a seam, make changes to the control points and masking, all the while seeing real time results in the panorama editor window. You no longer need to stitch, publish, open the viewer, try to find the seam, zoom in then examine the results. When you make a small change, you would have to go through all the steps again. Since the panorama editor window shows results in real time, so much time is saved during the stitching process.

Laddad,
I must say that these two efforts definitely look much better than your first attempt.
Take a good look at the sky in both panoramas. See how it is starting to turn green then white? This is a sign of an over exposed sky. I am not sure how to correct this since I do not do HDR.
Do you shoot RAW? With RAW, you expose for the sky then bring up the shadows during the RAW conversion. No HDR needed for these daytime outdoor panoramas. Now if you are shooting inside a very dark building and all the windows are very brightly lit, then HDR will most likely give better results. You still want to shoot RAW, not .jpg.
The following panorama was done with 4 shots around and 1 hand held Nadir shot. All RAW.
www.dlsphoto.net/FallColors2011/SunriseOverMonola...
As you can see there is plenty of detail in the very dark shadows. The clouds over by the sun also have plenty of detail. This is not HDR, but RAW processing.
I believe Judy shoots RAW and does HDR and probably a combination of both. www.judyarndt.ca Her treatment of HDR is just a little bit too surreal for my taste, but that is just my opinion. Take a look around her web site. This is what you want to strive for. Nice rich colors and a very natural looking sky with no blown highlights.
Someone once asked me "How do I know when a picture looks right?" The answer is "When it looks good to you."
Keep at it. It looks like you are improving.

DD,
The adaptation would be easy. A plate needs the 4 small countersunk holes for mounting the ring clamp, cut to width to fit the groove in the NN3 and finally a single 1/4-20 tapped hole for the NN3 mounting bolt.
Like anything else, if there is not enough demand, the product will not get made. Since I use the Arca style clamps and no longer have a complete NN3, I cannot prototype one.

Since the base of the ring clamp is an Arca style base, how do you propose to clamp onto the NN3 upper arm without using an Arca clamp base?

You can get the 16mm lens with the camera as a kit and the fisheye adapter is $125. I picked mine up off of eBay for $75.00.
Why pay $100 for manual focus and manual exposure when full auto focus and exposure is only $25 more?

Can anyone tell me the problem this Samyang lens solves?
If you use the 16mm f2.8 kit lens and the VCL-ECF1 fisheye converter, you get the same field of view and a lens that is electronically connected to the camera made by the manufacturer of the camera. You get auto focus and exposure. Smooth has already posted pictures showing the great quality of this combination.
What am I missing?

Do your HDR work on the individual images prior to stitching. No backwards engineering needed.

Judy,
A sharp picture at f2.8 may not have enough depth of field. After much testing, I use f5 on my 10.5. That may not be light sensitive enough for your needs.
An alternative is to purchase a D3s for about $4000. It is supposed to be the king of Nikon low light shooting. The D4 has not started shipping yet, so we have no real life examples. Who says throwing money at a problem will not solve it?

Cheap $20 adapters work ok, but have way too much slop. I wish I had access to a CNC mill. I would make one myself.
