Morten,
If you want the best resolution you can get then I suggest the 2 prime's which I mentioned before....
Also when you want to do high res pano's you'de better have a fast computer!

If you want high resolution why not use a prime lens? The 50 1,4 is a veryy sharp lens, so is the 85 1,8.
If you want a 70-200, the F4 IS is hard to beat!

Hi,
I also use FPP, it works only with JPG...
In my workflow i make TIFF cubes and convert them into JPG in CS2, this way I can try different compressions (use for each cube the same compression).
The size of the output file depends on your needs, I always use 10000 x 5000, I keep total size between 3 and 3,5 MB. This will give me a verry good quality output file.

Hi,
I'm using RRS. I like it a lot, but would love to have "clicks" to make going round a little quiker....
My camera is a E3 from Oly with 8mm fishey or 7-14mm. The pano head is verry stable but i can't compare to others since...
With my setup i can't get a 90 degrees nadir but it comes close so thats oke and with your 16-35 you don't realy need a nadir shot, i think?

Hi TTurner,
You should not compare CS2 to Lightroom. Lightroom is designed for RAW photos (yes it works also with jpg), just like ACR. In Lightroom you have more options then in ACR.
I think the typical workflow for a photographer is like this: - take RAW pictures - import in Lightroom - make adjustments - export to CS2 or 3 for final processing and printing.
Hope this helps!

Yes they are not so sharp at the edges but the difference is not so big, at least with my lenses.... I would love to compare my fishey (Oly) to different brands!
Also you don't use the extreme edges since they overlap.

Hi,
You have to avoid high F numbers with your digital camera! F22 will give verry soft photos....this is because of diffraction: www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm (article Understanding Diffraction)
With my Olympus and 8mm Fisheye i always use F5,6. When i focus at ~1mtr everything is in focus and i get better shutterspeeds.
Look at this site for DOF: www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html
