Simon,
To have your panos marked on Google as with the singapore vr site, you need to register with google, then after logging in, go to my maps and create new map from there.

When done there is a link for embeding it onto a page.

Hope that helps

I have a canon 400d mounted on a panosaurus and use a manfrotto 190X DB. Not sure if thats a similar tripod but the combo works well for me.

I shoot just below eye level as I think it gives a realistic perspective. I have tried various heights but cant say Ive tried waist height. Id imagine it would give an interesting perspective. Any examples?

PTgui Plug In

Hey Sal,
My understanding is if using these as plug ins, as you suggest you choose them in the final create pano stage. From there it is an automatic process.
I usually use PTgui for both however on occasion have used smartblend. I haven't really taken the time yet to understand the command line settings as such use the default settings.

Stitching Problems & Some Basic Questions

Indre,
Im a long way off the standard of the guys and gals in this forum myself, so i will leave the advice for them...While your waiting though, I have run your images through ptgui, cant make a 360x180 without the nadir and zenith obviously, however the stitch came out reasonable for me.

I cropped the images then manually placed 3-4 control points.

While its probably easier to ask, the answers you want now and will have as you improve, have more than likely been answered on this site.
Happy hunting

Thanks all for the helpful/encouraging comments.
I am using show 3 so at present cant address some of the suggestions. Krpano is on the not to distant horizon tho.
Will have a look at the stitching n ghosting today.

Thanks Smooth. I chose the bracketed version basically because it evened the lighting out better imo. The dark playground was a problem in the standard version.
Do u mind me asking for alittle more detail about the viewer? Always looking to improve

Thanks for taking the time to view,
I will see what I can do about the levels. I realised post stitch in the belmore basin image there was a prob, but didnt even notice the city beach level.
Bill I am lucky with no shortage of scenery. I plan on making a hole series of tours from the region over time tho as its a hobby/practise project.
Thanks

QTVR quicksand

Hey James,
Not sure what version of PtGui u have, but in my version you can create a QTVR.

When you 'create panorama' have a look at 'file format'. The last option for me is 'QuickTime VR(.mov)'. By choosing this output, the resulting file will be QTVR. Might have to tweak the setting tho.

Good luck
