marc, can we expect a price cut of 50% when the new rotomachines are available? even if you have the quickest turntable you will always have to correct if your subject is too speedy. in this case there hardly is no alternative to rotapancameras. how can you capture both groups simultanously. look at this shot: www.auschwitz.ch.vu people not moving fast. 1/60=4 secs/360 i pushed the button and exposed 7-9 pans in 30 sec.70mm/5m film full. maybe it could have been done with dslrs. even showing the same groups twice. or coming in and out. would be nice. sorry i dont have a nice location. roundshot/panascope 65/70/220-65mm grandagon(26mm shift). tto heavy to carry around. michael przewrocki

that is certainly the problem analogue-rotapancams have when using fisheye, right? i was told it can be handled better with digital. since my sins are limited i did not quite understand. maybe with drawings.

i once have seen a 43min. scan interior shot of spheron-rotapancam. amazing but for my taste too long. 2. you can produce rectiliniar(up to 160 degr.) out of swinglens or also 360-camera-shots. use altostorms rectiliar plugin(for photoshot and paintshop pro)- if you stitch with panoramafactory you can choose also different output. i dont know yet if you can also do this without stitching. pls ask them if the could implement. both are simply fantastic. also stitching two swinglens-shots are possible. i mean shooting level and tilted upwards. anyone has done this? for quick shooting and highest level posters only analogue rotapancamera will meet my requirements. you will also need a highlevel scanner. microtek 1000xl if you have long stripes. maybe sprintscan 120/microtek artixscan 120tf. michael przewrocki-2009-30 years of rotapan-photography

i also recieved a poor dvd from them and the glasses. their website is still a secret. hardly to understand. i have been waiting for years until they offered a 2d-3d-conversion. its a simple software available for free. 2. if i adjust my screen for the glasses, then afterwards my 2d-images(standard) or screen will be bluish. they said i have an outdated crt. 3.there are already improved anaglyph-solutions. one is made by a dentist imre nagy. go to photo-3d or stereodatamaker-forum(yahoo-groups) to contact him. no need for special glasses. just standard anaglyph-technology improved. the future of 3d-stereo are autostereocopic displays anyhow. michael przewrocki

www.rwpbb.ru/test/pancam1.html
maybe some russians can translate. found here: fotoleto.ru/fotowww/panoramic.html
there is a russian 8 inch-swinglenscamera with 3 lenses. 180 degr.?prototype? a russian told me but i dont have his adress. maybe the russians will show us the first digital swinglenscam. their sputnik was also first in 1957. we need a solution where we could use existing lenses. with focus and shift. they have enough money to develop the best cameras.
