UPDATE!!

I added one more row. For the images on the very right side in the last row, I had to change my cameraposition, but of course it was impossible to warp these images manually to fit in the panorama. Now I updated my old PTGui version and tried the new "viewpointcorrection" feature. Well, of course I had to work manually a little bit but anyhow, it was possible to add a complete row more. The bad news: Without viewpointcorrection, PTGui worked 7 hours for the panorama but 32 hours with viewpointcorrection for 7 images. I alsow edit a lot of little mistakes in the panorama. Especially the sky presented an unbeliavable chalange. Now, here you can compare the new and the old version. Well, of course it´s not important how you take your pictures. But in this case I think it´s a little different. Due to less DOF with 300mm, for each image ( except the first three rows) I had to take 2 or sometimes three images with different focusing points. Of course you can´t do this with an automatic pano head and so the session took me quite a long time. For nearly 400 images I had to adjust the focus points manually which really needs a lot of concentration. Because of moving leaves and shadows, I had to edit a lot of pictures manually before the stitch. Now the image: Stitched from 349 images (made from 729 images) photoartkalmar.com/ZOOMIFY/Vienna%20pano.html

I tried many different things to increase dynamic range. In my opignon the easest way to get good results is to make different exposures and then putting all together manually in PS. No program can see as good as your eyes. I trie to explaine this but I know that it will look very complicate, but when you trie it, you will see that this works very well. I open all different exposures and put them together in one image with many layers ( each exposure is a seperate layer, so in this case 9 layers) The exposure with the longest exposure vallue is visible and then each layer under this top layer is 1 stop less exposed. And then I create a mask for each layer and draw everything I need with a more or less sharp pencil.
And then I´m drawing with a more or less sharp

Do you have a good head for hights. I added this QTVR to my tour. photoartkalmar.com/Peterskirche/Virtuelle%20Tour/... Well, the light situation have been really hard. (Harder then dancing around the tripod while taking the images. Only a bit more then 1 feet space and this one feet was used by the tripod) In front of the tripod: exposure vallue between 1/8 and 25 sec (f16 iso 100). Behind the tripod: 60 sec. And I had to remove the shadow of the camera and the tripod in PS. All together took me about 9 hours work.

Camera: 5d Head: NN5 Lenses : 24-70mm 2,8L @30mm for the center and the one at the altar ( for those two I needed high res images) 15mm fishey for the others For stiching I`m always using PTGui and pano2QTVR for creating the quicktime.

Because of bad light conditons, I made 4 different exposures for each image and started at half past 5 am for the Organ QTVR ( The blue in the windows is a result of the difference between tungston light inside the church, and some daylight outside ( I set the WB for the tungston light and the gray from the sky became blue.) The sun rises up very quickly, and thats why you can notice that the windows in the panos I made afterwards, appears more and more white. Even with 4 different exposures for each image, I had to tune the Raw files a lot to get good results. The singel images I combined in PS manually with different layers(not using the HDR function), taking what I need from the different exposures with a more or less sharp pencil. For stiching I used PTGui and the QTVR I made with pano2QTVR
