Thanks John - i'm trying everything at the moment, i like the patch idea and have been trying alpha channel masks - its a shame that you cant put back into ptgui after removing the parts that will ghost, like moving people, and then do a restitch, thus getting color settings correct throughout from your 3 differently exposed panos, although not sure if the bit taken out of the layer would have an overall effect on the hdr color.
Anyway some good news for those CS3 users out there, i asked ptgui support the same question, and they have now posted a short tutorial for post processing a HDR layered PSD that is 32 bit, so needs CS3 Extended. here is there reply
Hi Tom,
I've added a short tutorial on the Support page, see 9.10: www.ptgui.com/support.html#9_10
Kind regards,
New House Software Pte. Ltd. Joost Nieuwenhuijse
So there lays an answer - need to get CS3 Extended soon !
Thanks john - and best wishes to all

Hi all,
has anybody got any tips on Post processing a hdr layered panorama ? Using ptgui i used to follow this tutorial with pleasing results
www.ptgui.com/examples/postprocessing/
I now have ptgui Pro for creating hdr panos but am having some difficulty with the layers in photoshop. For example, i can use the pen tool to remove part of layer i dont need but am finding that the layer underneath will be a different exposure meaning the technique isn't quite right. Has anybody got any tips for this ?
will be grateful for any advice, best wishes to all !!!

Hey Ped,
Thanks so much for leaving a comment, I was beginning to think nobody liked it, and your right it did take quite a lot of work, but i was chuffed to bits with the results when finished. I used immervisions pure tools and would like to recommend this to you... It allows for an unbelievable range of design options, and although a little tricky to use at first (there is great help on there forum) you really can achieve anything your imagination will allow...
Again many thanks and best wishes to you !!
