G'day SBL,
With greatest respect - it is not the clarity that is the problem with this panorama.
Please, don't take offense. I'm sure my first panos on this forum were not any better. However, what we are trying to say is that you are showing a lot of very capable potential clients a finished product that is not yet ready to sell.
Read this forum and take on the tips that some of the very helpful and excellent pano shooters here will share with you.
I would be very interested in the type of work you are offering. Though, I would need to see a much higher quality to trust you with my work.
Good luck and I look forward to more samples.
Morten

G'day Dorin,
I almost forgot about those 'cross-eye' panos. You know, I think it's much easier to do after a few beers! Got it first time tonight. It still makes me feel a little queasy though.
As far as virtual reality goes, I really think it has some merit. Well done as always.

Morten

Gday Tom,
The only plugin I know of which will synchronize two panoramas is DevalVR produced by Fiero who often contributes here. Given that it can use QTVR movies I would guess that it may be possible to present it in a pure QuickTime format also.
Anyway, I have a script which I think (from memory) was written by Dorin (also a great contributer to this forum). I don't think he would mind me passing it on. So here it is;
<html> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1"> <title></title> <!-- window.moveTo(0,0); window.resizeTo(window.screen.availWidth,window.screen.availHeight); window.focus(); //--> <style type="text/css" title="Default"> body, div, h1, h2, h3, span, p { font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: Black; } body { font-size: 10pt; background : #000000; } td,tr,table { font-size: 10pt; border : 1 Black; border-left-style : solid; border-bottom-style : solid; border-top-style : solid; border-right-style : solid; border-left-width : 0; border-right-width : 0; border-top-width : 0; border-bottom-width : 0; border-color : #777777; background : #000000; } h1 { font-size: 18pt; } h2 { font-size: 14pt; } </style> </head> <!--CENTRAT DXN--><!--CENTER--> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" height="100%"> <tr>
<td align="center"><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%" > <tr> <td align="center"><!--CENTER--> <!--CENTRAT DXN--> <p align="center"> <SCRIPT type="text/javascript" src="detectvr.js"> </SCRIPT> <P align=center> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=748 border=0 style="WIDTH: 840px"> <TR> <TD><SCRIPT type="text/javascript"> minDevalVRVersion = "0,5,0,6"; p2q_EmbedDevalVR("right2_r.jpg","500","500","ID1","pluginname","leftpano","plugincamera","rightpano","zoom","1","rotationy","-100"); </SCRIPT>
</TD> <TD><SCRIPT type="text/javascript"> p2q_EmbedDevalVR("left2_r.jpg","500","500","ID2","pluginname","rightpano","plugincamera","leftpano","toolsbar","0","zoom","1","rotationy","-100"); </SCRIPT> </TD></TR></TABLE><br><img src="scala.jpg" width="500" height="24"><img src="scala.jpg" width="500" height="24"></p> <p><!--CENTRAT DXN--> <!--END CENTER--> </p> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr>
</table> <!--END CENTER--><!--CENTRAT DXN--> </body>
</html>
Please let us know if there is a problem with us using this Dorin.

Awesome Tabb,
I too think the colors are great. Very unique view, I really like your start point, it might make for a good print.
Great job keeping the highlights considering amount of bright whites you had to contend with.

G'day Alex,
The panoramas are taking a verrrry long time to load for me. Could you tell us what size they are? I have a fast cable connection so I imagine it would be even slower for some others.

Thanks Aaron,
With all the new FX stuff coming out this will probably be a standard procedure for us guys.
I also have the 10.5 and recall seeing where someone left a part of the hood intact. This did not interfere with the FX view, gave some protection and allowed for the cap to still fit. Does anyone have any info on this?

Morten

Thanks Randy,
It looks like there may be a new forum page up; forum.3dvista.com I have registered and will try to contact Jose soon.
Let us know if you get a sample online. Is it possible to just script in sound to the default index page created by Show? Sorry I am not much of a web design guru.

G'day Randy,
I have updated to RC38 and don't have this problem (although I didn't have it before). Could you let us know what setup you have? Could you post a sample to see if it occurs for us?

G'day Pele,
Is there a reason you are not wanting to use Show 3 or Tourweaver? These two seem to be the clear leaders currently, looking at your requirements.
The alternative of using say FPP (or similar) requires a lot of work and research on your behalf. I am sure either software will need some time to get to know. However, once you have a workflow in place they will save you both time and money. One reasonable job will pay for either of these choices.
I use and highly recommend 3DVista's Show 3. If you have time check out my site www.trueview.com.au All my samples and current work use Show 3.

Morten

Great job Bernd!
Could you give some detail as to your technique/equipment? DO you still use 400D and Sigma 8mm? I am really interested in how you shot out of the plane like that. My assumption is a monopod that you rotated and fired remotely.
Either way, this is a great shot capturing something most of us may never see. I really don't think any other kind of photography could capture the moment quite like this.
By the way, how does a girl look so pretty hanging off a plane with those glasses and helmet on?
Cheers,
Morten

G'day Hayden,
Great start with your first panos. I am sure you will get more comments in time.
It seems you have your nodal point sorted. That is a good start. However, until you include the nadir and zenith shots we will not be sure of this. I still recall my first panoramas that I posted on this forum. These are much better than mine.
Shooting panoramas requires a lot more planning than a normal photograph. Keep in mind the dynamic range you are trying to capture in a 360 degree view. When you get a chance try shooting in the 'Golden Hours' of twilight and dusk. If you have to shoot in the middle of the day I highly recommend using multiple exposures and Enfuse or similar.
Lastly, you seem to have some dust on your sensor. I also own the D300 and have mine set to clean the sensor each time I turn it on. It is much better for sensor dust than my previous D70 and D200.
I look forward to your next samples.
Regards,
Morten

G'day TTurner,
3DVista has been a great tool for me. I highly recommend it. The boys at 3DVista have worked hard to get a good full screen Flash version happening.
I have several samples on my website here;

I hope it is useful. Once you know your way around the Skin Editor there is quite a bit of flexibility.

Nice work Mak,
Good panos and nice simple look to the tour. You may have to zoom the floor plan out a little. The 'Exterior' icon is slightly hidden by the viewer.
Well done,

G'day Bernd,
Thanks for your comments. I am now on the island of Bali and hope to improve on this last pano. I am going to shoot a wreck at a place called Tulamben. It is such a different world underwater and so suited to the panoramic world.

Morten
