For sale is a complete 360 panorama rig composed of:

-360 Precision Absolute panohead. This is probably the BEST panohead in the market. It has been taylor made to fit this specific camera/lens combination. No setup required, no painfull search of nodal point, no hassle, just flawless batchable panoramas from day one. The head is in perfect condition and can be upgraded to different/newer camera-lens combinations. (This head alone is worth 1025$ new).

-Canon 30D in mint condition, this has been my backup camera , it´s got 5000 clicks and doesn´t have a mark. Fully boxed and with all the original goodies. Simply the cleanest unit you will find around.

-I am throwing in a Kirk L plate as well as once the camera is sold I will have no use for it.

-Canon EFs 10-22. This lens is a gem. It is in perfect condition and includes a lens hood. Boxed. This is an extremely sharp lens.

-Canon remote release, very helpfull for this kind of shooting.

This is one of the best rigs you can have for pano shooting, giving stunning panoramas with huge resolution. To see an example of what I have produced with this kit see this panorama ( see fulscreen): www.viewat.org/?i=es&sec=pn&id_pn=1961

I am asking 1800$ plus paypal and shipping. Pictures available upon request. I will pack lovingly and ship straight away.

For sale is a nearly brand new (less than 2 months old) Agnos MrotatorA panohead and a Nikon FC-E8 fisheye lens kit. Purchased to couple with my Panasonic LX-2 it has seen very little use. It works like a charm, it is easy to make flawless panos even with a monopod, but I am spoiled by the quality of my Canon 30D and 10-22 panos so I am letting this little lovely kit go. You may find pictures of the setup on my blog here: erikahrend.com/smallsensordiary/?p=72 , the kit is in the flawless condition you can see in the pictures.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this kit. I am asking 250$ plus shipping. This is a long shot but I am willing to trade for a NN3MKII...

I will be away untill monday but you can mail me @ erik@grancanaria360.com.

Thanks and have a nice weekend!!

..and I´ll clarify even further..

When I originally purchased the 360P head i lived in address A. When i ordered tha upgrade kit I had allready moved to address B. FEDEX were trying to deliver the upgrade kit to address A. I checked my E-mails and am sure i provided the correct address (B) to your company (to you actually via your personal mail account).

It is clear that either 360P of FEDEX messed up with an older address in their databases. I admit my first reaction, when faced with the option of blaming a highly organised multinational company or a "small" niche company, was to think that 360P had messed the delivery...but that´s OK with me, S%$&t happens. No troubles..

I spent TWO WHOLE days at home (fortunately I work at home...) waiting for an upgrade kit that didn´t turn up. And then I got a patronizing message from you screaming that it was unacceptable that I wasn´t at home to receive delivery and threatening me with not re-posting the kit. Franckly, in your first mail, you could of been a bit more polite and try and find out what was wrong. There is allways time for screaming later..And that is basically what I compain about, an why (again, I´m not alone) I think you are the most unfriendly guy I have had to buy something from..

I also keep the original posts, and it is clear to me what really happened.

Time passes, and I´m willing to smoke the peace-pipe, if only to stop punishing our fellow forum-mates with our troubles. that´s not going to make me like you anyway..

Now fire off if you wish. As far as I´m concerned things are clear.

Have a nice day..

Re: 360 Precision Absolute to Nodal Ninja migration..

Lets clarify step by step: (please excuse my english, it´s hard for me to express myself in another language).

1. I did apologize to you after reaching the conclusion that there was no need to be rude. I swore at you (after you got to my nerves) and I shouldn´t of, but I did not apologize for making a mistake or never accepted that what happened was actually my fault. That doesn´t change the fact that you are not only unfriendly but also unhelpful, and that after all, it was just a customer asking for assistance due to a failure in ther delivery that was NOT HIS FAULT.

2 Yes, Matthew, I can provide my own address correctly, and if Fedex messed the delivery all I did was ask for yor assistance as I couldn´t understand what was happening. The address provided to FEDEX was NOT the one provided to you. Your helpfull answer was basically that it wasn´t your fault if your customers are stupid or can´t provide full addresses..YES Matthew, very helpfull indeed, and the sourt of behaviour you are becoming so famous for..

3. I understand that there can be issues with the delivery, what I complain about is not the trouble with the delivery but your attitude regarding what happened. If it had been my customer , I would of tried and listen and find out was was going on, instead of implying that everything was due to his stupidity and threaten him with not re-posting the item. I will say it once more for whoever may be interested: The address to which FEDEX were trying to deliver the upgrade was not mine. Had nothing to do with the one I provided to you, and considering that it was YOU AFTER ALL the one doing the deposit you could of tried and help instead of blaming me for not being able of receiving mail. yes, you did imply that I must be stupid. And I receive a ton of stuff from all the corners of the world, never had this problems before.

4. You can threaten as you please, and post what you wish. that is not going to change tha fact that so many people (should I say unhappy customers) have allready reached their own conclusions regarding your "persona" and way of dealing with their problems. Your 360precision Absolute works like a charm by th way and is a fantastic piece of gear.

Matt, do as you please..

Best, Erik.

John, thanks for your reply. I am not a guy who likes to keep a ton of stuff. I prefer versatile setups, and I am looking into getting a setup that will allow me using my big kit (Canon30D and 10-22) and my light/small kit (a compact camera, LX2,-and maybe LX3 or Sigma DP-1 in a near future- with the Nikon WC-E68).

The 360 precision head is one of the best things I have ever had, but I must admit that dealing with 360P (and specially Matthew Rogers) can be an anoying experience. That guy is not helpfull at all, and I, that am normally a quiet tranquile guy, ended up interchanging messaged of unfriendly content with the guy due to his ackward and unhelpfull attitude..

Will see..

Flash Panorama Player customizing?

Thanks for all the kind replies!! It might be the right place and momento to ask for some help here..

I am currently embeding some panoramas in my blog. I use Immervision´s Pure Tools and have succesfully embeded Java and Quicktime panos, but have been unsuccesfull with the Flash ones (to the point that I am currently using Viewat.org for that). My code and programming knowledge is VERY limited (I am basically a photographer..) The script I currently use (Flash, produced by Pure Tools) is for panos with all the files in the same directory. It is as follows:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN" "www.w3.org/TR/html4/frameset.dtd">
<html lang="en">

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

}
else
{

Now I need to know how to modify this code so I can embed a panorama having the IVP and the Flash player in a remote directory. I ignore what the code would be to "call" the player and the panorama contents that are based in a different server...

Excuse me if my question seems stupid, I am lost here..

Any help?

Thanks in advance..

Flash Panorama Player customizing?

Interestingly I have started adding VR content to my blog recently and did a little survey: a poll asking my viewers to choose a format for pano display between Quicktime, Java and Flash. The poll has only been up for four days and will continue for another week or so, but for now the results are as follows: Java: 6% , Quicktime: 31%, Flash: 63%. The masses have spoken!!

I am now in the search of a flash pano player as the Pure player is very limited and not too easy to integrate..

I have put my eye on Flash Panorama player. I would like to hear from user experiences about the degree of customization of this player, but specially I would like to know if there is the option of customizing/personalizing the loading screen with one´s splash image or logo?

Thanks in advance!!

Andrew, yes as a matter of fact the WC-E68 gives a 16mm FOV on the GX100.

Regarding the FC-E8, once I zoom in I no longer have 180º, I seem to be loosing FOV when I zoom both my LX2 and the GX100, I actually end up with a panorama with a big missing piece both in the Zenith and the Nadir, so I figured that I could try a simple bracket to mount the Agnos rotator horizontally thus using it to give the setup a mild tilt and see if I can make use of as many pixels as possible..

Hi Marcus, sorry I haven´t seen your post before, I was away for a few days..

I haven´t tried the WC-E68 with the GX100, but did with the Panasonic LX2. I have a small report in my blog in case you might be interested : erikahrend.com/smallsensordiary/?p=54

Acording to a german fellow VR photographer I have recently got in touch with, Willi Bauer ( www.bildschauer.de/panorama/Ricoh_GX_100.html ), he is using the Nikon wideangle toghther with the GX100 professionally with great success, with final output of about 10.000 x 5.000 pixels. He has just ordered a NN3MK2, and according to him he needs to shoot 8 horizontal,4up, 4down and a Nadir. That makes it 17 shots, not very different to the 14 I shoot for my 360 precision kit, and quite far away from the 38 shots needed with the Coolpix 5000.

I am personally looking forward to be able to use this setup, though I am working on a homemade head that will allow me tilting FC-E8 I currently use about 10º so I can zoom in a bit further and still complete a full spherical..

Hope this may be usefull.

Cheers, Erik.
