This is a review of version 1.0.2
VR SceneWorx is a very simple to use package for linking QuickTime movies together into a virtual world or scene. It is intended to complement the VR Toolbox panorama and object movie creators, VR PanoWorx and VR ObjectWorx, but can equally well be used to link together QTVR movies created by any other piece of software.
As with all the VR Toolbox software, VR SceneWorx provides a very stuctured way of creating your scene: first you must define the size of your project map and the playback viewing size to be used for the final multi-node movie. Next sketch out your map, then add your nodes and link them together. At this point you can add hotpots to your movies as well as linking are altering those you may already have defined in those movies. A particularly nice feature is the ability to control the way in which the user 'leaves' and 'arrives' when they click on a hotspot. This allows the starting viewpoint of a node can be defined by the way in which they came into it.
Once you have finished assembling your scene, you can adjust the compression settings before compiling all the source movies and images, etc, into your multi-node panorama. Before you save you can add annotations and adjust the way in which the movie will play back and how the user may interact with it.
Overall VR SceneWorx is an excellent QuickTime multi-node movie authoring tool.
