Fully automatic using built-in functionality or using optional AutoPano plugin. You can also drag-and-drop images into alignment, enter tilt/pan/roll etc parameters, and/or you can set control points (flags) between the images. If control points are defined (by automatic alignment or manually), you then run the optimizer to find the best parameters for stitching.
