The first thing to do is to load in the images you will work with. These are then loaded into the main panorama area and a new window appears that shows the source images so as to allow you to modify the order in which they appear.
You are then immediately prompted for the 'scene' details of the panorama:
The next step is to align the images. You can adjust lots of different aspects of the alignment of images. Note that you can adjust the tilt (pitch) of the images in order to stitch a sequence of images where the camera was pitched up or down.
You can also do completely manual alignment, but not by dragging images into alignment using the mouse. Instead what you do is adjust matching lines in each image from the image edit window (below). Note that you can account for bad image registration here by altering the image centre.
Once you have found the best alignment, click 'blend' to preview the panorama (you could do this sooner in the whole process of course).
If your images differ in brightness or contrast you may want to adjust the exposure of the images before blending:
And then all you have left to do is save your panorama. Shame you can't save a PAN, QTVR or other interactive format...
