Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Melaka, Malaysia
23 May 2006, by James Rigg
The Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Evergreen Cloud Temple) was built in 1646 by Lee Wei King, a fugitive from China. This temple claims to be the oldest in Malaysia.
When I visited it was a quiet time of day and the temple guardians generously allowed me to shoot this panorama. It was a relief to have some shade from the midday sun!
