Old Danish Customs House
26 Sep 2009, by Tom Williamson
This was taken on the steps of the old Danish Customs House on the waterfront of Christiansted on Saint Croix. The building was built in 1750, the year after the big yellow Fort Christianvaern, in the background, was built of yellow Danish brick that mostly came to Saint Croix as ship ballast. A second floor was added in 1830 and at one time was the Post Office in Christiansted.
