Like many lighthouses, you can walk around the light at the top of the tower, but it's not possible to put a tripod down and shoot the images from a fixed position. Normally 8 shots would be plenty for the Nikon 990 + fisheye adaptor, but I shot far more than that so that I could experiment with the shots afterwards to get a stitch.
Equipment Used
27 shots handheld using a Nikon CoolPix 990, Nikon CoolPix Fisheye FC-E8 (in full frame mode), PanaVue Image Assembler v2 and some retouching in Adobe PhotoShop.
