Hi Guys, discovered CS5 lens profiling yest, so decided to do the 8mm.
The lens profiles fix; Chromatic Aberation Vignetting Geometric Distortion.
All done with just a couple of clicks!
DL the lens profile creator from adobe. Print one of the grids (adobe recommend one of the larger grids for FE's)
Mount your camera on your pano head as normal Stick the grid on a well lit flat surface close to the lens (obviously within focus) Background / rest of scene doesnt matter as the profiler looks for the grid.
Take a series of shots so the grid is near / in every corner and a series throughout the frame area.
Set lens type & load these frames into the profiler
Set the size of the grid you have printed.
Generate profile!
The profile its generated is better than I could have every done manually. All you have to do then, in AR or Lens correction filter, is select the profile. You can also adjust the settings manually or turn parts of the profile off as required.
Initially I didnt want to generate the geometric distortion profile as its an FE but glad I did, as can now de-fish for 8mm rectilinear shots aswell (obviously shots go fuzzy near edges because of distortion but with the 7D 18mp's I can crop these easily)
