360Precision Adjuste tool free tweak

I'm using the excellent 360Precision Adjuste. My only caveat with this head is that the base and side arm assemblies require an allen wrench to assemble/disassemble. This is fine but could be tool free which makes carry about much easier. I doubt I;m the first to do this but I'm posting some pics just in case.
After figuring out that the included screws were metric M6 I sourced a couple thumb screws with my requirements being size, knurled and include a shoulder. This wasn;t all that easy but I eventually found these:
Obviously as the mounting holes are beveled I needed to address that. I initially tried sourcing some beveled washers, which proved to be impossible (or nearly so). I then moved onto plastic plumbing washers which I've had plenty of experience with over the years and know to come in all sorts of sizes with bevels being quite common. The resulting washer is a number 00 stem repair washer, ½" OD. I partially threaded the washers onto a screw and took them to the belt sander to remove the excess to make them flush. Though the inner hole diameter was smaller than the thumb screw shaft I decided not to bore them out but instead to thread them on as is for a more snug fit.
The results are exactly what I wanted. Tool free, and it looks like it was made for it.

Except for the fact that the base is on upside-down in the photos Also, I'm not really sure you want to use washers either.
PS It would have been nice if you mentioned that we've loaned you a demo unit free of charge for your trip
Here are some more photos of the Adjuste, also taken in a light-tent:

Matt,
1. Doh! I can't believe I mounted that upside down. 2. Not sure why the washers should pose a problem. They are dense plastic (no mar) and have the exact shape profile of the head on the included screws. 3. I purposely omitted the loaner info as I didn't want to presume you wanted that publicized. I apologize. I am indeed grateful.
Finally, I've sent a couple emails with no answer. Maybe I have the wrong address? I just sent another.

Thank you both.
No tent (I keep forgetting I have one!).
I used two strobes with Amvona reverse shoot through umbrellas and a white background.
