Posted: 26 Jan 2008 at 10:35 GMT
Hi, i just made a quick test with these settings for both lenses (8mm fishey and 7-14mm):
F 8
1/3 second
ISO 100
WB set at 5000
Used in camera timer 2 seconds (no mirror lock-up used)
srgb
best quality JPG out of camera (about 6mb per picture)
default settings in camera (sharpening etc...)
MF at flashlight at the table
6 images round
Time between the 12 images is 5 minutes (while i was making the pictures for the 8mm there was a fraction more light as you can see in the picture)
Gitzo 3540LS
RRS brackets and ballhead
No post prosessing
Renderd in stitcher unlimited
JPG Quality at 100
No sharpening
Smart render

Pixel count for 7-14mm 9404x2688
Pixel count for 8mm 10464x3914

The files are quit big.
If you like to see them please go here (copy the link and put .jpg at the end)

he seems to work on it. page still not found.
i thought d3 is not yet out. would be nice to compare with new canon 450d or sony 200,300,350 etc.
from 28mm on(16.6mm eff.) sigma dp-1 is a hot panorama-candidate. look at dpreview(large las vegas-images)
