I'm just starting searching this forum for special pods/situations, but I start sharing my first experience, looking for Your suggestions. I wanted to test something like the Manfrotto 349 (did some of You use it or find it usefull?) so I assembled mine (here a photo)
for less then 7€ and test yesterday www.tourwrist.com/panos/58255
It's just the beginning, so please send me links & suggestions about Your's, I'm courious
ciao luca

This is what I use when I have to mount my pano head on a table and such:
Manfrotto 3424
This clamp is available from Manfrotto. You use your tripod center column. www.manfrotto.us/column-clamp

Thanks DennisS, Yes that manfrotto was my first choice, it give more options with a center columb tube but even if I'm Italian .. I gave a first chance to the cheaper Cullmann luca
