Lovely.
They have had problems at Lincoln Cathedral in recent years with it beginning to slide down the hillside. I think the problems have become exacerbated recently.

I can only assume that it has been done for artistic reason as these places have wonderful ceilings. By placing it at an angle the auto rotate will show the ceilings as well as the floors as well as the ceilings as well as the floors as well as the ceilings.........
Excuse me for a minute I think I've spent too long spinning one of their panoramas, feeling dizzy......

I can only imagine that this has deliberately been done?
The pano seems to be stitched well, with nadir inserted correctly etc, but to be so off with levelling beggars belief?
Levelling a pano is so incredibly simple...
I know Henry Stuart from Spherical Images has done some great work for the Guardian before, but this definitely isn't his work.
Bizarre.

Forget the nadir comment, after another look it seems as if it's been shopped in, badly at that..

I checked out a couple more of the Guardian panos, They too were terrible. Not only did they wobble around but had poor exposure. www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/interactive/2011/...
How is that the Guardian shows such bad panos when there are loads of us guys here on Panoguide who can churn out much much beter work.

It's all them hippie protestors weighing down the north side of the cathedral.
Send a few to the south side and the pano will level itself.

There's an additional email address given for reporting "errors and inaccuracies", to which I have sent a comment. It may not be the most appropriate but there's a slight chance the comment might reach the right people, though I shan't hold my breath. At least I have not received an immediate rejection.

I'm not defending this panorama. However, The Guardian is a serious newspaper and they would not publish (and pay for) a picture without editorial examination.
I suspect the photograph has served its purpose by getting people to take a fresh look at this 'tired' subject, talk about it and even provoke 'Disgusted from Tunbridge Wells' to write a Letter to the Editor to complain about it.
I'd like to hear what the more creative people in this forum think about it.
