how are CGI interior panos done...?

I have a commerical property developer client who wants a virtual tour of their office building. They've stripped the building back to 'shell & core' - i.e. left the steel frame & glass cladding in place, but totally gutted the inside.
They want a tour ASAP of the exterior (easily done as from the outside, building looks complete) but want the interior 360's of architects' interrior design / render, etc. Now, I've had it done where we've superimposed a 3D CAD building into a photo pano (www.360imagery.co.uk/virtualtour/transition/jubil...), but what info do I need from the architect to be able to do a complete CGI 360 of the interiors? The architect says it can't be done, but I have seen some examples knocking around (can't remember where....) can anyone point me to examples / info / people who've done it so I can pass the relevant info onto the architect....
thanks
Stu

G'day Stu,
All you need is an Architect/Cad person who knows what they're doing
panedia.biz/vst/vtlite.swf?pano=550016&h=p
This 3D interior was created in lighwave and output to an equirectangular image using a plugin (I think). I then put the image through our normal pano process.

Certainly it can be done, I've produced many using 3D Studio Viz. I'm surprised that an architect today would say it can't.
You need: CAD drawings in 2D, Plans and Elevations 3D modeling and rendering software such as 3D Studio MAX Someone competent in 3D modeling and rendering.
3D Studio Viz can create VR panoramas directly but its been replaced by 3D Studio MAX. I presume the same functions are available. If not, you could produce the images and stitch them conventionally.
A quick Google gives you this... www.cadresolution.com/3d-panoramic-view.php
Hope this helps,
Clay
