Inserting Foreground Flowers

Often you get a beautiful location, lakes, hills etc, but it might lack something colourful in the foreground, say flowers etc. Are there any sites that provide shots of flowers or colourful plants that are royalty free and suitable for inclusion like this?

You would possibly be better off taking them yourself and using those; you have to bear in mind that anything that is stock imagery could be in a completely different format to your output files and could be more of a nuisance than anything.
If you want to go down that line, though, there are plenty of RF photo sites out there. Istock Photo is one, but be careful, since the majority of these sites sells their images in terms of credits; a photo might be 4 credits but you can only buy them in batches of 10 credits at a time. This means that you will be left with two over, which have only a limited shelf life and cannot be used after a certain period.

The bigger problem is making the inserted flowers look like they belong in the image. It is hard to mimic the lighting from the background image.

Yes, I can see what ye are saying. It's very hard to blend "imported" images into a pic.

Another solution is to find a place that offers a good composition.....
