Any chance of some help?

Hi folks!
I have just finished spending the last three days trying to develop a presentation CD for Norway. It has been terrible, since there are so many commands working with 5 different tours working from the same root of the CD.
I have uploaded the skin as a swf, without pictures, and would be terribly grateful if you would respond with comments about its functionality as well as accessibility.
With things like this, it is so difficult to see the wood for the trees.
I have uploaded it as a Flash exe file.
Please. . . before I spend the cash on the CDs, try your best to break it! Everything is in Norwegian, but that is of secondary importance!
Thanks in advance.
Jon

Is looking good here. Only one thing and I am not sure if it is an issue or not, the second menu takes you a page with a Norwegian flag and a British Union flag, I thought clicking the union flag would show English language (at least on that page) but it doesnt, but as I havent a clue what it does say, I have no idea if it is meant to be like that or not.

Ah! Caught you out Pete.
Make specifically for the Norwegian market, we disabled the English to make it smaller . . .
A little sign does come up saying that the English version is not available. But I thought I would have it like that to show that I can do multi-lingual skins.
I am surprised that someone north of the borders claims to have no knowledge of Norwegian. Half the northern English langauage comes from here!
Kirk - kirke Barn - barne Øl - Ale (nearly the same)
There are plenty more, but after a bottle of wine . . .

Actually, I did recognise some words, but then I struggle with English so that isnt really saying much. Odd thing, I have a friend from Norway who understands my my accent perfectly well (though I dont think I have an accent, it is just everyone outside of Glasgow talks funny) yet, when I visit my brother who lives in Suffolk, I have to practically draw pictures before anyone understands a word I say.

Hi Mathrafal I just downloaded and launched your presentation however whilst it runs none of the VR panos are displayed. I can get back to the main menu and select different locations but never see any panos. Clicking on one of the links on the skins brought up a floorplan but none of the hotspots launched a pano. I'm running this on a Win7 PC. The overall design is excellent though! Roy

Thanks for looking Roy.
No, the panos would have made the exe far too large and it was just the functionality of the skin that I was interested in. All together, it would have been somewhere in the region of 600 MB (72 high(?)-resolution panoramas), but if you are interested in seeing what you missed, just pay a visit to tactus360.com/examples.html.
You'll wish you hadn't, though!

Jon,
I found an 'anomaly'.
After opening Savalen...I chose Info which opens the Info panel, then chose to return to the main menu.
This leaves the Info panel open overlaying the main menu. Possibly not something you intended?
Also happens with Uppsala...

My mistake... I took a quick look at your site, which looks very nice. My only comment would be that given the size of the display window and the zoom range the panos are a bit slow to load.
Why would I regret looking?

B****r!
Thanks Andrew. I thought I had fixed that . . .
The problem with this little baby is that, with the music, the skin is about 40 MB, which still runs smoothly from a CD. However, it is like trying to push butter up a porcupine's backside with a red-hot bodkin manipulating the file in Pano2vr.
Vi prøver!

That's interesting, Roy. Perhaps you have a slow server this afternoon! The files usually load in seconds - in the case of the website, the files are only between 2 and 3 MB, unless they are in HD, when they are between 6 and 7.
It is always a difficult thing deciding on how large the files can be and I tend to go on the less conservative side since I think monitors are going to get bigger and Internet speeds faster.
Still, there are times when I find many panos quite slow to download.
Perhaps next year!
Thanks again . . .
Jon
