Large file PTGui Temporary Disk Space issue

I'm stitching together a 1000+ mosaic image and after the control points are set up and I'm ready to create the .psb output file (297484x97770) in 8 bits. When I do I get a pop-up notice "Stitching this project at most 388GB of temp disk space.....see Tools/Options/Folders&Files for more information." My C drive doesn't have enough space so I have gone in and set the temp folder to alternate drive B and still same message comes up. I can't proceed because it runs out of temp space on C drive even though all temp folder settings are for B drive. If I try to blend using Enblend plugin then I need 825GB of temp space. Any ideas on how I force PTGui to use the alternate drive B? After closing and opening the program all setting show it pointing to drive B as it should but PTGui still want to use drive C. Are my files to large for PTGui or is there an easy fix? thx Bill

Bill, why are you not asking this question on PTGUI's forum ? As a vendor yourself I would think you would know that?
O'well, are you really using a drive "B". If so I could see this causing all kinds of possible problems as OS have long considered drive "B" as a floppy or special drive.
While of course this is no longer valid in reality it probably would be best to only use logical drive letter "D" or higher.
And lastly, I'm of course assume your restarting PTGUI after changing the drive and setting it as the preferred temp folder.
Regards,
Robert

Hi Robert, Complicated issue on the PTGui forum thing. We are in the process of upgrading our server, e-store, as well as changing and editing internal email accounts, Google accounts, Yahoo accounts, mailing lists etc. Until the changes are complete I'm holding off on applying to new groups. So just hoping a quick question would yield a quick answer here on PG.
Did do the reboot of PTGui and PC - no change. I wouldn't have thought a B letter drive could create problems but I trust your comments as I'm sure you're much more knowledgeable. many thx Bill

i wonder if it is your swap file? maybe for this project you need relocate that to the large drive? set it at a static size muhc larger. reboot then try again. just a thought.

Appreciate the feedback - good sized swap drive and dedicated scratch disk. Tried the drive letter change - no luck. I'm just going to up the C drive to 2TB so issue resolved.
Doing high resolution mosaics seems to stress the capabilities of hardware and software. Soon we will see Terabyte mosaics popping up. thx Bill
